How often do you tweak re write or review your postage? Having the new listing page, I have just realised that the whole option of baby goods or quilts have disappeared so I think i am going to have to invest some time in re writing my listings. While i am there I will also re look at my postage rates...its going to be a busy night for me!

Sadly, I review my postage rates after someone buys from me and I noticed that I totally under sold the postage on that particular listing. A lot of times that happens to me on some older listings that I forget about.

I think my newer items, plus my hats, are pretty on point thanks to trail and error.

I do that as well. Someone buys from me and then I go to the post office and find out I am off a couple of dollars. Shipping is so hard to figure out.

Yeah, it was a pain to figure out how much to charge when I first started. Since they have the new postage calculators which makes life a bit easier.

I just need to go and weigh my items and update all my postage. That is going to be fun (said with a hint of sarcasm :P).

But updating postage might be the easiest thing on my to do list for my store now. Cause I need to work on that and photos. Ugh, so much work!

I have a food scale that I LOVE. It helps me get the postage right for my items. Then I don't end up underpaying for shipping, and I don't need to stand at long lines at the Post Office.

I determine my postage rates every time the USPS changes their rates and set up my profiles accordingly.

That way when I list a new item all I need to do is select the appropriate shipping profile and the item is ready to go.

Part of the information I need when I list an item is the packaged weight of the item to guarantee that I select the correct postage rate.

@ Deanna Kraatz, I LOVE my food scale too! :D I just realized I can use that a couple of days ago and one of my baking scales had been collecting dust under my bed. So I'm putting it to a better use now.

My items are greeting cards and invitations, so it's pretty easy to figure out.
