How many views do you want?

Realistically, how many views would you like to have per day? Of course, I'd like to have as many views needed to get that one sale, but more views typically also mean more favorites and treasuries.

In the very beginning, I was lucky to get 50 views in one MONTH! Around the holidays, I was getting 500 a day, but that number has dropped to about 300 per day. (I sell greeting cards, which is why the holidays were a successful time for me). Although I'm averaging 300, I know I need around 500 to sell consistently. That extra 200 views is the difference between having a sale and not having one.

500 just seems to be my magic number. If I got any more than that, I know I wouldn't be able to keep up with messages and treasury lists.

Wow, 500? I am fairly new I guess but on my best days I only get 200. And those have been my selling days.

My shop has only been open since Feb 1st, but I have been lucky enough to make 8 sales. I know I'll have to work hard to get triple digit views, and while I would like to have my views increase regularly, I try to not stress about meeting a particular goal.

My views fluctuate a lot. On my best view day, I only got 72 views, and I didn't sell anything.

I'm happy when I top 200 a day, less than 150 is kind of a bummer. I'd LOVE 300! But I'll settle for ONE they're the one that's spending!

I guess it just takes me a lot more views to make a single sale than other sellers. If I could sell on a consistent basis with 150 views, I'd be a happy camper!

I get around 50 views per day selling aprons, which isn't too bad. I'm pretty happy with my favorited to view ratio too, but they haven't lead to as many sales as I would hope for. I've been open nearly two months, but have only made one sale. I guess 200 views is something to aspire to!

I seem to have no rhyme nor reason when it comes to views and sales... there are some days that I'll get 1500 views and no sales and then I'll have a day with 25 views and get two sales. Like you Aman my busiest time is Holiday/Christmas so thats when the big views and sales come. I guess I'm just need to diversity a bit more. Currently I'm averaging about 150 views or so... but it really does depend on the day : )

I don't have a number in mind that would make me happy... I guess the more the better ; )

well i had one day 11.500 views and no sale and one day just 70 and 1 sale, and most of the time i have over 600 and no sales

The problem with views is that they are not the same as unique visitors. I could visit your shop right now and click on every item, then leave without buying anything. It'll make your stats look great, but too much emphasis on that 'views' figure is a falsehood, I'm afraid. Like the previous poster, Maria PrincessM, says - some of my best sales days have been on low or low-ish viewing numbers.

You could have a daily viewing count of 1 - but as long as that one viewer made a purchase from you, that's the only statistic that will ever count on Etsy.

I totally agree. My sales have all come on days with low views. Of course, if I were ever to have a day with say over 50 views I'd have a stroke. According to what most people get I always have very low views. I guess if it's the right view that turns into a sales it makes no difference how many views you get.

Wow -- everyone has so many views!

Yesterday I only had 27 views (usually I average 40-60, which is still not great), but I had one sale. So it was a good day!

My average over the past 30 days is 135 views per day. I wish it would be higher but I'm not sure how to go about it at this point except by keeping listing new items every day.

Since joining treasury teams, I have been around 500 per day. When i miss sign up for a week long treasury game or weekend game though, i am at around 300. But like so many others have said, I could have 200 views and get 3 sales or get 800 views and have none.

I'd like to have as many views as possible, but I know I need to do some work to get there. I recently joined this team: http://www.etsy.com/teams/11352/relevancy-and-seo-for-all-etsy-shops and it's been incredibly helpful in improving my stats. I've still got a long way to go as far as tweaking all of my listings, but I've noticed a big difference in search hits for the ones that I've changed. I even made a sale yesterday based on the new keywords that I put in the listing. I've been making a point of changing a listing here and there when I've got a minute, that way it doesn't seem like such a daunting task. I'd love to consistently get into the triple digits, but that only really happens when I constantly hit up the "fav item from the shop above you" type threads, and those are kind of empty views for me. I'm really trying to improve the views from people who are actually using the search to find my items... that gives me a much better chance of getting a sale!!

I get an average of 75 to 100 views daily and about 10% favorites. I get alot of views and favorites from other sellers in my own category (not sure what to make of that) but I'm happy people are finding me.

I average between 350 - 600+ per day. I'd like to be at 500+ consistently with 3+ sales a day.

I typically get very low views (20-60) per day, but that is not a magic number for me as I am not-so-patiently waiting for my first sale. Then again this morning I woke up and have almost 50 views in the hours I slept. So if the magic number is 500 then I have a stiff uphill climb for me. From what I have seen it also depends on where your views are coming from. if they are coming mostly from teams then they are there to help promote and advise you, but they like you are looking for sales not always to buy. I have been working on improving my photos and tags as well as getting my page seen by others not on my teams, and my views and outside views have definitely increased. Good luck!

Right now I average about 50 a day, which is WAY more than I had been getting. So far I've had 4 sales this year, and I would like to have 1 more before the end of the month. If I could get about 100 views a day, I would be THRILLED! :)

I'm still new so I don't look at the numbers so much as the whole graph! As long as my average number of views is going up I'm happy. Hoping I'll get more total views this month than last! I figure that means that my tagging is getting better and my "promoting" (whatever that is! LoL) is working, etc.

I would love to get more views. Seems like I spend way too much time on the computer trying to figure out how! It sure cuts into creative time. I agree that the tags that help people searching for a particular item seem to be the most important as they lead to sales.

Wow! I'm lucky if I get 20 views a day. It really depends, because, on the two sales that I have so far, I had really low views. I think there were like 10 or 15, but I've had days where I get 20-30 and almost 50 one day, and no sale. I guess whatever would give me a sale a day.
