How many views do you get?

I love the fact you can get access to this information on Etsy but I find it frustrating too.

I get about 200 views a week. I've managed to increase to that from about 100 by doing allllllllll the things that are advised.....FB/twitter etc I've increased the range in my shop from 20 to over 40 items but I know I need to get views in the 1000s to get real sales.

Helllllllllp......please..... what do I do?

I'm finding it really frustrating ....what else can I do/sell/ make?

I only have 15 or 20 items in my shop, so the views aren't huge for me right now. I'm currently averaging about 75 views per day, so about 525 views per week.

I recommend using treasuries. And by this I do NOT mean including your items in your treasuries...not the way. Create treasuries using "newbie" items; these folks are probably not in a lot yet and might return the favor by featuring you.
Also join treasury teams and participate in chain challenges. In my team (Treasury Chain Challenge Team) there are sign up threads for the chain challenges and the first 17 people to sign up are the week's participants. You just make one treasury featuring the 16 others, and you get featured in 16 treasuries in return. But find a team that works for you.

I have a good amount of views for having so few items, but I know that inventory is what will increase views the most. As for what you can make, etc. I don't have any advice for you as that is very subjective. Make what you love and it will show. :)

Try to hit over 50 items. I just did today and my views have skyrocketed! I've gone from the normal 20ish per day to 300 so far! My search views are also highly improved as I was only getting a few before and now I've got over a 100.

Just stay active on Etsy and try and build up your circle. That's what I've been doing and slowly I've seen things increasing. I think it's just a case of patience and working hard.

I've heard that 50 and 100 items are the magic number. I could do that easily....I have a rooooom full of stock. All kinds of different things.

I'll have a go at the photos this weekend.

It's all very time consuming but I'm fully committed to making it work.

We'll all get there in the end.

I paid for search ads this week and I've spent $3.50 and had about 20 views and NO sales so I won't be renewing that!!!

Thanks for this thread Angela. It was just three minutes ago I was hollering about less views and no sales and wondering what happened to my 80. Makes you happy with 80 when you are getting far less. Hah! I was curious as to what is the Etsy average?
50-100 items I was told to stock as well. Once I painted my tail off and got to that stock it did move a bit some.
I paid for search ads and from my observations and calculations I could not afford it. And 3% f/ paypal it adds up. No complaints though. Lucky to have sales. Would love to hear more from others on views/ads. Oh, gotta make a treasury , right. :) grins

This is a great post, I am averaging around 37 views a day. I am trying to network more and more each day. I KNOW I need more product as I only have 12 items in my shop right now. Going to crochet my fingers to death this weekend. Also building a lightbox this weekend to help improve my pictures.

i hit over a hundred items (currently at 116!) but didn't find that number to be the magic pill that it was supposed to be... I'm in jewelry, though, which I know is a pretty big market to be competing against. I average around 40-50 views each day, although i do feel like most of my views are coming from potential customers as opposed to other Etsians. Although it's nice to see the views go up due to a treasury, for example, i know that views from people searching an item are more valuable than views of someone just bumping a treasury. I have found renewing items and posting new items to be the best tools for me right now - every time i post something new, i notice a real jump in views. good luck - it not easy out there! I average between 150-350 per day since opening on January 11. My average has increased since last week when I was maxing out at 250-275.

Haha! I have had another shop since last April and have learned a lot since then.

Since opening I have been REALLY active in forums. I use my avatar and shop banner as additional free advertising space. I make sure my titles and tags are done to help me be found, and I've just kept listing and listing new printables. I also opened a Twitter account for this shop to help gain more interest.

My views seem to be random everyday, but I usually get at least 20. I'm finally up to 20 items in my shop, which I'm so proud of! My small goal is 25, so I'm 5 away. 50 seems a while away, but I'm sure the more items you have the better the views like they say. I'm trying to work on better tags too.

I totally understand what you are going through. I had pretty high numbers the last couple of weeks and now the numbers are much lower. I am not sure what I am doing wrong or really what I was doing right before!

If I push it and promote pretty hard I can get about 150 views a day, only half that if I'm working off-line and on my jewelry for the day. (if I'm lucky...)

I have had about 220 views in the last 7 days, but I'm really new and just opened my shop 3 weeks ago.

I've recently started promoting on FB and Twitter, but I'll be expanding out to Pinterest and...anywhere else you recommend?

I have over 150 items now, and average around 500 - 600 views per day at the moment. I would suggest:

- SEO!! so key, keep reading, plugging away, tweaking and so on.

- backlinks: I think google 'likes' these, so put a link back to your shop in every listing, as well as a link to something else your viewer 'may like'. This also encourages people to click around your shop, meaning more views!

I think these things have worked for me :-)

I've been getting around 300 views per day throughout the January. Before that it was kinda slow (50-700). As Joanne said, I think backlinks did me a lot of good. I'm getting a lot more views (like 60 a day) from google since I started putting backlinks in my listings. The rest of the views is from Etsy search. SEO is the key, and I'm really trying to get deeper into it :)

On an 'average' day I get anywhere from 1000 to 1200 views per day. If my work it featured somewhere, that can easily go to 2,000 views per day.

I make sure that I'm always adding new stock and I do most of my marketing outside of Etsy to my target market.

I blog about 4 or 5 times per year (if I think about it). I don't use facebook at all.

Ya'll are all doing great compared to me. I average about 10-15 views a day. I was doing great right before Christmas... I was getting over 200 views a day. I have 71 items for sale so the 50 item mark must not be it for me. I have just recently started updating my pictures so they are on a bright white background. I have joined several teams and try to stay active on them every day but none of that has improved my views. So I don't know what to do!
