Umm maybe 15% but thats kinda a guess...I only have a handful that are repeat repeat repeats I Know them now kinda thing. No discounts...mostly cause they dont say Hey im about to order, but I throw extras in there for them.
I was told by a customer once that she loved the card she purchased and that she would be back, but she never did. That was last year. Recently though, I have had a repeated customer who loves and appreciates my handmade cards. She has been a wonderful customer and I hope to continue doing business with her.
I'm not sure exactly but I have quite a few repeat customers which feels SO good. :) It might even make me more excited than someone new buying because it means they really love what they've bought in the past.

But I do offer a discount to potential repeat customers. Just in case they need that last-minute thing :) I also try to include little samples of something they may not have noticed or thought of.
I don't do discounts, not even for return customers. They return because they love my products, not because of my prices. Why should I pay myself short when people return to buy more?
Not sure about Etsy (yet to sell on here)..but in general I get repeat customers by providing good service, taking pictures and giving good realistic descriptions so people know what they are purchasing, including "care instructions" just in case they missed in my advert, sending off items asap, taking care with packaging and every now and again I throw in a new item I am working on (before it goes on sale) and ask for feedback. so Im not selling myself short....just doing some market research :)
I have had around 35-40% return customers. As babies have grown, I have sold bigger ones, I have had return buyers for my elephants and bears, also, I have sold out of tea towels due to return customers. I love them
I have about 35% repeat customers. I do offer a discount for repeat customers though and it brings them back. But that is just me! Love my return customers.
I have a number of repeat customers, although I've never counted.They often come back after their own purchase and purchase a gift for someone. Some are husbands that shop with me for their wive's special gifts.
I have a lot of repeat customers because I offer high quality linens and collectors come back for more. I also offer a discount to "frequent flyers" which is added incentive to return. I can honestly say that repeat buyers are the backbone of my business.
I have had a few repeat customers. I don't expect the majority of mine to be repeat customers, however, since I sell original artwork. Most people change the decor in their house one room at a time, or usually need one piece of artwork. But then again, I've only been open for a little more than a year!
Around half of my customers are repeat customers - I sell jewellery making supplies. And 50% of those repeat customers are my regular repeat customers.

That kind of attitude is not going to get you anywhere. If you have repeat customers, the least you can do is give them Free Shipping or a Free Gift of some sort. It doesn't have to be that expensive, but it shows that you do appreciate and welcome their business for years to come.
