How many orders v shipping issues?

I've read lots of shipping horror stories but I'm curious...

Compared to your total number of shipped orders, how many have had shipping issues?

I've shipped 162 orders (domestic and international) with 3 memorable shipping issues. That seems like a lot. (1 in 54 sales!)

I've shipped 290 orders [US and Canada] and had 6 memorable shipping issues, that I've been made aware of. So 1 in 48 sales.

Pretty close to those averages: I've had 59 sales and one item that didn't arrive (an international shipment)

Only on shipping issue in 45 sales. And that was at Christmas. I figure that is not bad.

I've had 43 sales in this shop and no shipping issues.
My other shop has had 27 sales with no shipping issues.

That includes international sales as well.

Hmmm, interesting. I'm thankful that most customers understand that, once a package leaves my hands, I don't have control over it. Does anyone else add handling and/or overhead to their pricing to figure in these mishaps?

319 orders (not sales) and 3 shipping issues. 2 were international. We work the occasional loss into the overhead of the business.

1 out of 70. I ship international a lot, but this one was practically going 'next door' to Oakland.
And no, I had not thought of adding overhead costs to make up for a loss like that. This month shipping prices will go up as it is, and I don't want to make it more expensive than it has to be.
But I might re-think this if another order goes missing....
