I love buying from Etsy when I can afford it--both supplies and gifts. I think it's great to give each other support--plus the quality is often so much better and the items are more unique than what you'd find somewhere else :)
At first, I bought a lot of supplies from Etsy shops - hundreds of beads, etc. Then, I started purchasing other items such as handmade soaps, gifts for my sons, a gorgeous ceramic jewelry bowl for my sister's birthday, miniature paintings, some items for me, etc. I usually keep it small, because of the cost involved. But, oh, I do love handmade items!
I will check etsy before purchasing anything...so many beautiful items, creative and unique gifts, and I love to support anything artistic and individually created. One of my most precious of belongings is a gift one of my sons bought for me on etsy=)
I hadn't bought anything until a few days before christmas. I found something really adorable and grabbed two. I plan to buy most of my gifts on here from now on. I might even cancel amazon prime!
I do, probably too much:) Supplies, vintage, patterns, jewelry...... The only thing I don't buy are things I make myself....well actually I buy vintage quilts too:) Its nice to have a special one-of-a-kind item :)
I love supporting hand crafted items and sellers. When I can, I love purchasing gifts from sellers on Etsy! And its a great way to network and meet other wonderful people!
I love to buy from Etsy! I started a new account as a seller, but I made a lot of purchases here :) In the last month I bought two times supplies and a scarf, only in a month!!
One thing I LOVE is to buy from other sellers who bought from me!
Bought a lot of Christmas gifts here and since I sent my family the links to a bunch of my favorites, I also got a lot as gifts myself! :-D My daughters are all hooked on Etsy now.
Should add that I even bought a necklace for myself two days ago. And I never wear jewelry, LOL! It was just too delicious, and the price was right with a coupon because I had featured the piece in a treasury!
I do pretty often - bought most of my Christmas gifts on Etsy. These people are trying to do exactly what I'm doing....so if I support their craft maybe they'll support mine. Just spreadin' the handmade love...
