How long does it take for shops to get going?

I just created my shop a few hours ago and it's all so daunting! Most of my views and favorites are from Etsy promos and it's a little discouraging. How long does it take for your new social media (Instagram, etc) to AT LEAST start raking in viewers and favorites? Any tips for staying motivated during this process?

Some people get sales or are popular right away, and some take much longer. It depends what market you're in, how big your social media network is, how popular your items are, etc etc etc. There's no specific answer for how long it takes.

When getting started it's better to go slow and do your best to do things (SEO, photos, descriptions, etc) well than to throw a ton up quickly but have it done sloppy. Because you'll just have to go fix it all later anyhow.

your items are super cute but you definitely need more listings especially in a saturated category like yours.
just try to be as active as you can, here on etsy and on your social media accounts and then you will be noticed at some point. one of the most important things is to have good photos becasue as you are an online business your pictures need to speak for your quality and commitment.

I have a new shop, I don't have any sales yet and views I get only from Etsy promos etc.
I checked a lot of shops, good pictures are important but I guess not the most - I've noticed there are active shops with sales but they don't have good pictures, a bit dark, just 'homemade' and/or description is very short. And there are shops with such a good pictures, items and description but they have few sales or none.
So I guess the most important is - if someone can find you on Etsy, google etc. - right key words, tags and followers on FB, Instagram, Pinterest and how much similar items to yours there are on Etsy...

--add inches to your size
--use all five photo slots
