How long do you keep conversations?

I don't like having a ton of messages around so I was wondering how long everyone keeps conversations that include details about special orders? Thank you!

I made an archive folder on Etsy to put older messages in so their out of the way, but I can still find them if I happen to need them for some reason.

I haven't deleted any yet. But the inbox on my computer is the same way. My 30,000+ emails (they're all marked as read) drives my husband crazy!!!

I have just deleted them. I also keep a record of my own on the computer. I really like the idea from Ariella, make a folder to keep them in on etsy.

I delete them as soon as a transaction is complete with the buyer.

I keep the "inquiry" convos for about a month. After a month, I figure they're not coming back, lol..and delete them then.

I haven't seen a reason to so I haven't deleted any yet.

Yeah, I think I'll be deleting them as soon as feedback has been exchanged.

Ariella- Even once creating an archive folder, you still can't delete them, right? I tried creating a "completed order" folder. I moved conversations there then tried to delete them from the main inbox and it was deleted from everywhere. Etsy conversations don't behave like an email setup would, I don't think.

Judy- LOL, some true honesty there! I'm just too anal retentive to keep them around and I'm looking for any excuse to clean house!

I've never deleted them. I've had customers return to my shop months later and refered to the initial convo.

The Etsy Conversation Section NEEDS A MAJOR OVERHAUL. If you ask me this is the place Etsy needs to invest on improving next. They've done so much to make Etsy more buyer friendly now it's time to work on making it better for the sellers. Etsy Conversations needs to be turned into an Inbox. You should be able to move Coversations into folders for long term storage and have them disappear from your main section of conversations. Right now if you move something to a folder and then delete from your pages of messages it's still gone, the folders don't do anything but group messages together. I delete like crazy because it's a giant pain in the but to keep pages and pages of messages but if I had somewhere to put them where they'd be out of my way then I'd keep more.

Is there a limit on the size of our etsy inbox?

I've been on Etsy for 4 years and haven't deleted one, or any from my email account either! I know as soon as I delete one that I'll need it for some random, out-of-the-blue reason and then be sad it's gone :)

I like the earlier idea of Etsy turning convos in to an inbox style so we can organize/archive them.

I delete them after I know I won't need it anymore. I delete spam convos immediately.
