How is your sales in May?

I've had four sales. Not that bad, really. It's everyone's slow season, and my shop is pretty vacant since I'm giving it a "makeover" with new style items and photos. :)

May has been such a good and encouraging month for me, my best so far with 41 sales and double the revenue of April. I don't want this month to end!!

Right now I'm at 38 orders, 10 less than last month, but May isn't over! Plus I raised my prices at the beginning of the month and have made just about as much revenue as I did last month. Less work same pay... awesome!

So far May has been better than April for me. I've had 19 more orders than last month, though as Etsy's stats show orders rather than sales, I am not sure how many sales, since frequently people order more than one item at a time. :)

I got my first few sales in the first week of May. Then it was dead for a couple of weeks and I got my biggest sale yet this morning so May has been good to me!!

I'm $3 away from reaching my monthly sales goal! And I just passed my 300th sale... I wish more sales came through so I can buy much needed supplies and continue to grow.

I had one (and if my supplies for custom order come on time, I'll have two). I had a few people "commission" work from me, and then disappear when it was finished, if that counts. May has been a waste money month for me. I need to start taking half up front for commissioned work. *grumble, grumble*.

Had a couple of sales on my other shop, too.

I'm glad it's not just me. And I have enough to do (like filling my shop) that it's not a problem to be a bit less busy for a month.

Jessi-I have a background in design/custom production work and it is certainly a good idea to require a 50% deposit on commissions. Heck, even after putting down a deposit we would still have customers that NEVER came in to pick up their finished orders! That's how flaky some people can be!

It will also help you to weed out the customers who are not serious about their purchases and save you A LOT of time and headaches!

8 sales, last year it was only three in May. May is my slowest month of the entire year. June, things start to pick up so I'm working on building inventory this month.

21 orders in May (some multiple items, so not sure how many sales). I had 16 in April (and 20 in March), but I've doubled the revenue from last month. I am happy with where my shop is going. I hope I can keep it up!

Fantastic so far, although I wish it was more needlefelted dolls than marimo. But people buy what they like and can afford. And either way it's funding my needle felting, so I cannot complain.

I got one sale so not so great :( March was my best sale record in the past two years but I still haven't even hit 20 sales!
