No sales on Etsy yet today. However I sold the earrings I was wearing and another pair from my Etsy shop to someone at work. Does that count? I still get more sales outside of Etsy for the moment but last week was a good Etsy week for me though. 6 sales. We'll see how this day shakes out.
This is just my opinion but I think cyber monday, like black friday, is mainly for the really big retailers. I also sell on amazon and it has been totally booming. I am averaging a sale every 3 hours since yesterday evening on amazon. But my etsy and my personal website I haven't had any business.
I have had one sale the whole weekend! Business is actually SLOWER than usual...less views and less 'favoriting' of items/shop! I have been relisting everyday! What gives?
I've had a bunch of favorites and views, but no buys today. :( I'm still a pretty new shop. I guess it is going to take a while to build up some clientele... Even have a 20% off sale going...
Olemae...when you are on "your shop" page...look at the list on the left. You'll see "add new item", "currently for sale", "sold orders" ... and then "shop stats". Click on THAT ... and it will show you.
This what I did for Black Friday/Cyber monday: (Also has been working on it for 1 week or so) have to say I had to realize if I don't change many things in my etsy shop, I can't continue selling on etsy. Aman from AlmondCrafts helped me understand a lot more about tags and titles. because my views and sales went down in Oct and first half of Nov, not knowing what Relevancy search meant. so overall my upgrade included:
more items, holiday related or seasonal. More sizes, better photos, all the recommended tags, titles, and change of descriptions. Change of avatar, offer of free shipping (domestic at least) Promotion on twitter, Fb, and on many etsy teams. Because of that I got picked up by many treasuries, was on the frontpage, and part of newsletters.
(I have to say: Im also on etsy since 2006 so I have some returning customers too...)
preparation, patience and ton of improvement, there is always room for the latest for sure. The most important thing on etsy, I would say still the photos.
