Interesting conversation about views being down. I promote outside of etsy as much as possible, and most of my views originate from facebook, pinterest or folks coming directly to my shop. But I am still doing better with custom work and markets than I've done online. Just goes to show we can't put all our eggs in one basket.
Something is going on. For many days this month, probably half of my views consisted of items I had sold a couple of years ago. This was some kind of "bug" as others complained of this too. Lots of items that were good sellers aren't even viewed anymore (I sell jewelry). But my sales are still pretty good. I agree with someone else, too....a lot of custom inquiries and no follow through or email after email about a $10 item and no order!! So frustrating! Get ready....July is typically slow also and then it picks up like gangbusters! Don't lose hope! Etsy is still a great place to sell!
So sales are really hard to come by at the minute, I have the same as above a whole heap of questions and nothing, I have had a sale on facebook on my cushions and a few people that did order didnt follow through and pay the invoice.so disappointing. But i suppose i can just use this time to work on new things and spend time with the kiddos...and maybe have a destash and raise some cash this way...September is not to far away
Very, very, slow...I had three special orders outside of Etsy and one small sale. Definitely happy that something finally sold. I am using my "off" month to re-shoot my things with new backgrounds. Time consuming but hopefully worth the effort. A team member urged me to change my backgrounds so I got really serious about trying to find something that works better than the ugly black. Think that I did it so hoping that eventually things will pick up.
Hi Holly, Yep, I have been advertising with Facebook and Etsy. It has been working out well for me, although I cringe every time I have to make a payment, haha.
I just opened my shop 10 days ago so am pretty new around here. However, from experience outside of Etsy from end of june till end of august usually is the slowest period. I am using these months to stock my shop, and hopefully prepare for september.
One of my shops is very slow (jewelry/vintage), one is new, so slowish, but doing well for its age (bath and body), and one is doing pretty well (graphic design).
None is where I want them to be, but I'm working on school, not promoting.
This month is finally shaping up to beat last month. Thank goodness. I am hoping to reach 200 sales by the end of the month so wish me luck! I also had my biggest day ever yesterday...8 sales in one day. Woohoo! It may be time to quit my day job. Haha, just kidding, that scares me too much!
