I just opened my shop this month, so might have not been the best time for what I read here. No sales so far, but it is a work in progress with all the information I have been getting from the ETSY community. Wish me luck!!
I can't complain, but there is something and this cannot be a coincidence.
Every time I get through the listing manager my prices change (even though they are more favorable for the buyer) than I perceive an immediate silent period afterwards ..... like you can better change nothing to existing listings.
Anybody have the same experience with this?

I have been on here for one year and 4 months now and sales have been slow during that whole time maybe 1 or 2 per month!
May seemed like the economy was going to pick up because I had 7 sales but now it's been dead since end of May!
I wish Etsy would advertise and do something on the front page so all of us can be featured sometimes. Now it seems like the same few shops are always featured, same with trending page, and it was the same with the former treasury type page they had.
Like Ebay there are too many shops on Etsy also and we are not found and it does not matter how good tags and photos are! I hear that all the time and we all change and fix, etc. which does not work!
If people find us initially they would buy if they liked or needed the item. I have bought items from shops with not so good tags or pictures.
I just saw something written elsewhere on Google about how Ebay shops suffer from not being found either!
This should be a marketplace where we all sell things every day like normal businesses! This just makes money for Etsy!
Andreea, a lot of people get checks at the beginning of the month. Disability, assistance, and a some companies pay twice a month, like the 1st and the 15th. Most rent and mortgages are due by the first of each month, hence no extra money at the end of the month. This may explain the slower weeks later in the month....
It's been slow for me but not completely dead, I am still in my early stages and don't really have the time to invest in promoting my shop outside of keeping things orderly on Etsy. It seems like orders always come in bunches for me, nothing for a week then three or four in one day. It makes it nerve wracking when you don't see any sales for a while, but it cuts down on my post office trips!
June has been a great month for me, so far! I did okay in May, just passing my monthly average, but in the first 2 weeks of June I have already exceeded my May revenue. Of course, I do sell travel journals, so it's probably just a good time of year for me - but checking last year's stats, it looks like last year I hit my peak in May & it was all downhill from there until November. Fingers crossed I manage to maintain the upward trajectory this year for a while longer! :)
Best June since 2010 so far. In perspective June has been a bit weak in the past. That being said sales outside of Etsy and social media seem to be giving our Etsy shop a continuous lift.
Terrible. I had eight sales last month (stellar for this shop), but not a single one so far this month. I've only had 13 sales this month in my soap shop. Just awful.
My month has been slow. But it's been from a lack of trying. Haven't been promoting anywhere and haven't really posted any new items either. Need to get on this. . .
Last month was my second best month ever with 35 sales and a lot of them higher priced items, but this month I've had 9 sales so far, and they've all been lower priced items.
Last year June was terrible with 9 sales the whole month when I had been getting 20-25 per month, but Etsy was also messing around with the jewelry category last June and my items were no where to be found under my usual searches. I don't know what's going on this June. The month is only half over though...
