Now that we've had the new feedback system for a while. How do you like it? Has it increased the number of feedbacks you've received?

I was hoping I would get more feedback from customer with it, but I'm still getting about the same amout of feedback. Just wondering if that's been the trend for everyone.

I agree with clockwork - the waiting part throws me off since I've made some purchases a while ago and then I have to wait X amount of days to leave feedback when I am excited to right then and there! :)

Someone posted a really nice feature request recently, and I hope Etsy sees it...

He said, how about an option for a seller to "enable feedback now," prior to Etsy's estimated date?

Seems it would solve a lot of our issues.

Like Wendy, I'm in Belgium. So I also saw a decrease.
I got only 3 reviews in the new system so far, but all were 5 stars, so that's a relief. (I had prepared to accept that 4 would be a great score in the new system too.)

I don't know what the general rate per order is but so far I only had five orders and no feedback…

Isabelle, in general the ratio is 1/3 feedback to number of sold items.

Personally, I was doing a lot better than 1/3 before the changes. To date I've only received one feedback out of about 20 sales since the changes.

I think I've probably had less % of sales feedback (but it wasn't anywhere near a third even!), but the ones I have had have all been 5 stars :-)
I don't like the time delay either (although its better now etsy have reduced it). but otherwise I am quite happy with it.

I don't think it has made a difference for me. I still get the same amount of views and sales as normal. The only people that really give me feedback are those who sell, since they know about leaving feedback and all.

All the changes that Etsy has implemented this year have not been in the best interest of the sellers and buyers. We need to think like Retail Executives and take pages from their Playbook!

I will admit I was very motivated with my feedback before this change, my % was 78%, I wrap all my vintage treasures in vintage fabric and ribbons, so when the buyer opened the package she/he would feel like they are getting a real gift, also enclosed a thank you note and business cards.

I really go over the top, having worked in brick and mortar stores I understand the reality of positive customer service. That old saying, "You have one chance to make a first impression".

Fast forward to today, it is very rare to get any Feedback at all, new buyers have no idea how to leave Feedback and don't understand the importance of it.

I suggested Etsy send an information email to all previous buyers explaining why they "upgraded" the Feedback System, so these wonderful customers that keep our business going. feel important and want to support their special Shops they found on Etsy.

My 2014 New Year's Wish for Etsy is..... to review the Feedback System make it user friendly for buyers. Etsy Administration please walk in our shoes!

I believe most people are reluctant to leave a 5-star rating. I know that whenever I am filling out a questionnaire where there is multiple choice, such as -- "never, almost never, sometimes, most always, or always" -- I almost never check the extreme answers - I always stay in the middle, and most other people do, too. (Did you notice I just did it? - I said "almost never")

I was looking at another shop's feedback and they had a total of 34 feedback responses (32) 5-star ratings and (2) 1-star ratings. The 2 bad ratings brought their total feedback down to 4.5 stars. The shop I was looking at makes candy, and the 2 negative feedbacks were not based on poor service or quality -- just personal taste. It's scary how much power those 2 unhappy customers can have.

I'd rather have no feedback at all, than for 1 or 2 people to have that much influence on my success.
