How has the new feedback system been for you?

Now that we've had the new feedback system for a while. How do you like it? Has it increased the number of feedbacks you've received?

I was hoping I would get more feedback from customer with it, but I'm still getting about the same amout of feedback. Just wondering if that's been the trend for everyone.

I go with "No feedback is Good feedback". If they leave feedback and all 5's super terrific but just as wonderful is the No feedback as it pretty much says no problems either.

As much as I object to the new system, it has been kind to me. I dont get as much feedback as I did before and there is no more spontaneous gushing (except in convos), but those that have left feedback have been generous with their stars :-) I really miss leaving feedback for my good customers.

I'm not a huge fan but, since the change I've had more sellers buy from me and they left feedback so it's kinda nice to see more people leave feedback.

I'm getting a lot less feedback. Only one person has left any for me since the change.

I'm Canadian by the way. Most of my customers have to wait an extra week before they can leave me any feedback.

They also have to scroll through feedback they might have already left in order to find the place to leave mine, since the feedback dates are so staggered from seller to seller.

Mine have decreased but I don't really care as I feel so much less stress than the old feedback system!

About the same as before - i.e. very few feedback. I think it's possibly worse now because my buyers have had their item for weeks before they're allowed to leave feedback and they may forget all about it!

Less I think ( feel). I live in Belgium and most of my customers are living in the US so they have to wait awhile before they can leave feedback. And some of them don't think about it after some time.

This month I had more feedback than usual, but I also had more sales so who knows if it has anything to do with the feedback change.

I do like the system with the stars and I'm glad that customers cannot leave feedback before they receive their order. Even though we might lose out some potential feedback from those that don't remember to return after the waiting period, I also feel that that's better than the stress.

I have had WAY less feedback than I had before....and I got one 4 star rating which made me shed the tiniest tear.

It amazes how many transactions I have with no feedback. But I guess no news is good news like stated above. Of course I recently had my first negative selling experience and the buyer left me negative feedback. Now I feel I have no recourse.

What about the way there is date when you can leave feedback?

I had a customer today send me a convo with feedback because she couldn't leave it in the system yet. She was afraid she'd forget to do it...

I also just did the same thing for something I bought from an Etsy seller.

I do not like that feature!

I am getting way less feedback also...

I get nervous every time I see a 'feedback' in my activity list. I always hurry to read it and make sure its 5 stars. I really don't think I like the star system.

less but all good so far. I had a really nice convo from a buyer today who couldn't figure out how to leave feedback so she just convoed me to tell me she was happy. I think it may have not been long enough yet.

Haha I get all nervous too! I don't like to hit the "read review" button, I refresh my shop page to make sure all my stars are there and then I read it.

A lot less than before, though some of my customers send me convos letting me know the item arrived and they are happy with it. Since I had a fair number of sales and positive feedback before the new reviews method started, it hasn't hurt me and shouldn't affect my rating much.

The ones I feel sorry for are the newer Etsy sellers who hadn't had a chance to build up a fair amount of good feedback before the new method went into effect. It will be so much harder for them to do it now, with the new system works. Also, as another seller mentioned, due to the delay between the purchase date and allowed review date, many customers will be busy and ignore the review message when they get it. Because of this, I personally don't see anything positive in the new method.

I am comparatively a new shop and have 17 sale but only 2 feedbacks and they are from the same buyer. I usually follow up to make sure the buyers received the package and are happy with the items so I had only positive response. It seems like people are too busy to leave feedback. Especially if it is not quick and easy process.

(I have not made purchases since the change and haven't left feedback for a seller so I am not sure how much time it takes to leave feedback now...)

I see little positive in the new system.

I now receive lovely convos from buyers when they receive their purchase/s (which is the most genuine and appreciated feedback). However, the new system appears too complex for some buyers to navigate, and the moment passes so, although most have good intentions to return later to leave feedback, the enforced delay means most don't-the moment is missed!

It seems best to allow a buyer to leave feedback when they wish, especially in the excitement of opening their special parcel.

I also used it as a way of noting if parcels had arrived safely and securely-it was a reassurance without having to spam.

Arabella, I couldn't agree more with your comments about our new feedback system. I too am receiving kind notes from my customers upon receipt of their jewelry. This is when the customer would usually take the time to leave feedback but now they can't...they have to wait until a certain time period.

Yup, still only one feedback since the changes even though I've ramped up the customer service.

As a customer, I've noticed that I have to dig through *a lot* of feedback I've already left in order to find some that I didn't because of the staggered wait- times. I think that prevents a lot of feedback from happening too, especially for sellers outside of the States.

I've been having the same issue - I don't have many customers that have left feedback in perhaps the last year or so. I am hoping it picks up when sales pick up! (if that ever happens - haha)
