How does relisting work?

Hi there everyone,

Just started a concerted effort to relist, i.e. everyday & wondered how it worked for sales increase. For example, I relisted something 7 hours ago now and I received exactly 2 views. Is it the time I relist or is there something wrong with how I title my items?

Any advice is gratefully accepted.

Kai

Re: How does relisting work?

In my opinion relisting does very little to promoting ones shop. I think focusing on promoting outside of Etsy such as facebook, twitter, blogging is the best thing you can do to pull in traffic. But again, that is just my view.

Re: How does relisting work?

I have learned one thing about relisting. If you are relisting an item because it is about to expire; relisting before an item expires doesn't do much. But if you wait for an item to expire, and then go to your inactive listings and relist that way, it actually will through you to the front of the search and will show in the recently listed new items. This can potentially through you a lot of exposure. But the key is definitley making sure you are in the correct and best category possible, and that you tag your items very well.

Interesting thank you both Davs & Countrycraftsncandie for your insights. More food for thought.
