How does a customer place a Review?

I had a customer send me an email with lovely comments on the scarves she had bought. I asked her to add the comments to my Etsy reviews, she said she would be delighted to, but it never happened. What is the procedure for a customer to place a review and is there a time limit for reviews after purchase?

Re: How does a customer place a Review?

I'd be interested to know too, as I've had a couple of customers ask me how to leave reviews, & likewise I can't work out how to leave reviews for other people. There's no simple 'review' etc button, which would make things a lot more simple!

Yes, is still hard to use that "review" button. But if it did'nt work, maybe you can copy the costumer comments (from convo) and past it in About field...

Re: How does a customer place a Review?

I just walked a customer through this last weekend.
On the web:
In the top right of the page there is your profile picture, you click on that. Then a menu opens underneath. One of the options is purchases and reviews. Click that. It will bring up a page that shows everything you've bought. From there click the purchase that you want to review, it will bring up another page that shows the order specifics and has a button labeled Leave a Review. Click the Leave a Review and it will give you a text area to write your review.

It's the same basic process on the app, only you start by clicking on You in the bottom navigation bar.

I hope this helps!

Re: How does a customer place a Review?

Hi,

I always ask customers to please consider taking a moment to review my shop, item, and customer service in their Etsy account, top right, under "Purchases and Reviews"

There you can click on items you have purchased and review them. The 5 yellow stars are at top of the item photo and you click on the star you wish to give that item, the best is the 5th star over to the right!

You than can write in the box what you would like to say about your item, the shop, the shipping, wrapping, friendliness of shop owner, etc.

Hope this helps!

Re: How does a customer place a Review?

BTW, It's also good for shop owners to give the best and friendliest customer service that they can!

I have ordered from shops on here that don't even acknowledge that you ordered from them and never even say thank you!

As a shop owner I always send a convo saying that I have received their order, verify the shipping address, and say thank you!

I get back to them when I have shipped their orders with the tracking numbers and shipping info and details.

I also answer people if they have questions, etc. and check back with them to make sure that they have received their packages and hopefully like their items!

Our society has gotten too "fast paced" and it's nice to be in contact with people and take the time to appreciate them!

You will get repeat customers, make friends, and get good reviews that way!

:)
