I wanted to get some of your advice on promoting. I have no problem promoting on my fan page/Etsy/forums/etc, but when it comes to promoting to acquaintances and coworkers I'm very hesitant. I am one of those fly under the radar people. I don't like to seem pushy or even draw attention to my personal life. I teach and several of my coworkers know I make cards/etc to sell online and a few buy from me regularly. There are many that I don't think have seen any of my work. I have a bunch of Valentine designs that I think might go well (since we're all teachers), but I don't know how to go about getting my designs out there.
Should I print a flyer for the work room of my various designs and prices? There are other things for sale in the work room from other vendors (not teachers).
Any thoughts on how to go about doing this or has anyone been in the same situation and found a good way to promote without being annoying to those totally not interested.
I'd appreciate any advice.
