How do you create a treasury?

I'm only a couple weeks old here at Etsy and I am wondering how to make a treasury or even a BNR Treasury... I understand that you browse shops and pick items for your treasury but how do you begin the template/process of it?

I just made my first one. What I did was first go to the Etsy main page (orange button at top left of screen). Then somewhere near the bottom of the left-hand side bar there is the choice including "treasury"...it might even be shop by treasury. Once you click that it will take you to a list of treasuries and offer you an option to create one.

I did it with two windows open...one to search for items and the other with the treasury I was building. BE CAREFUL - just a tip! - because if you accidentally leave the treasury page without saving it will be empty when you come back!!! AAARGH - I did this once I had added 15 of the 16 items!!! And I had to start all over!!!

Thank you so much for asking this question! I was totally afraid to. I don't even know what a BNR Treasury is! I have been trying to study up and just haven't gotten to Treasuries yet, but I would love to know as well. In addition, c an anyone give personal examples for how they have benefited from creating treasuries? Thanks!

I'm really too new to know about starting BNR treasuries..LOL...I just found out what the initials stood for two days ago. It's Buy n Replace. From what I can tell you buy an item that is featured and replace it with one of your own. The only way to get in is to buy your way in....and then you wait for someone to buy your place. (I think).

As for benefits of treasuries...I think it's all about the views. I was included in a treasury for the first time a couple evenings ago. I made my own treasury to include the person who put me in on that same evening. The next day one of those people put me in a treasury. (to simplify - I created one and was included in 2 within 24 hours). On that day I had the highest number of views I'd ever had - almost double the normal average. I did very little else to promote that day - I didn't favorite too many shops or items, and I didn't add any new paintings to my shop. It MUST have been the treasuries.

Did i get a sale? no. But my paintings are pricey - they aren't impulse buys. I expect sales to be slow. I'm happy to expand the views because eventually, (hopefully) my work will pop up on the computer of someone who wants to buy.
