Im still a newbie and I know I have lots to learn and improve on. But sometimes I just cant fight the feeling of being discouraged. Kind of like, why would someone buy from my shop if there are 100000 other ones out there, how are people going to find me, there are people with better prices, better pictures, better everything, why would they choose me...?

I know, I sound pathetic, but there are some moments of every day that I second guess myself...

Do you guys ever feel like that? What do you do to get rid of that feeling? I normally turn to chocolate!

Looks like you've had lots of sales - much more than me so I wouldn't be discouraged!

Also - maybe you should think, why wouldn't someone buy your products? There's no reason why they should pick someone else over you - the fact that you've had a decent number of sales would vouch for that.

Ps - yes - chocolate is good!

You seem to be doing really well but I understand that you feel discouraged at times because I do too, I'm sure a lot of us do. When I get like this I tend to step away from etsy for a little while, focus myself and then jump back on board! I've had a few sales but not that many and can go weeks at a time without any but I try to focus on new work and creating what I enjoy.

When I feel discouraged I won't go to kitchen. 2 years and 55 pounds lighter taught me something. Folks normally take a year to lose 55 pounds, but I took double the time.

My point is, stop comparing yourself to anyone. Give it your all. And keep outdoing your self. Just you. Your best record, and break it. You won't have time to wallow in anything if you keep on your toes. Disclaimer: I do feel discouraged when I take double time to accomplish thing. Double time compare to who?

I listen to the dialogues. Feel crappy for a bit. Then hugs myself... some TLC. And move on to list what I thought would keep things moving. Then as I go along, I tweak the list. Tweak the methods. Normally I am too busy to continue feeling discouraged.

If all fails, I take a break and treat myself to a nap, take a walk, take a shower, read novel, make more jewelry, do yoga, do weight training, go shopping, clean the house lol... do non-store related that is

A nap always do wonder for me, by the way.
