Re: How do I handle international shipping?

Opening up your shop internationally is definitely worth it. You'll be found more in searches for starters as many don't always or automatically have their search results set to only include items which ship to their country. Some ships find that the percentage of their international sales vary from 10-90%

The only downsides to international shipping is that it can often be expensive and certain countries you may not wish to ship to due to their unreliable postal services. I recommend using a trackable insured method of posting, remember to complete your CN22 forms and check anything you're posting can be legally imported into countries you plan to ship to.

You'll find many people in different countries will want what you sell, but you won't know until you try it!

Re: How do I handle international shipping?

Miyera, You are already shipping world wide on a number of items. You do have 'everywhere else' listed on this print

If you aren't shipping internationally then you should remove the 'everywhere else' from your shipping charges.

Re: How do I handle international shipping?

Thanks I realized this. I am making changes. Thanks. I will probably take it easy and offer Canada and them gradually add other countries. I suppose I could offer a reserved listing.

Re: How do I handle international shipping?

I'd offer everywhere. I haven't found any logical reason not to. There's nothing to worry about outside of the normal concerns we have shipping domestically. You'd be surprised how easy it is, especially if you print you labels at home.

Re: How do I handle international shipping?

I ship ALL over the world and it's the best feeling ever!

I had my reservations about international shipping after I opened, but it's beyond worth it, and just as easy as shipping within the US.

No issues yet [knock on wood]

Re: How do I handle international shipping?

International is definitely worth it. And it's just plain exciting for me to say I have sent my handmade stuff to customers in Australia, England, Italy, France, and a heckuva lot to Japan!

Word art is VERY hot right now! It seems to have started with the "subway art" craze a couple years ago.

Re: How do I handle international shipping?

international shipping is very worth it, since i opened up my shop i have sent to Canada, France, England, Greece and Australia( twice!) so far only one of my items cost more than i got for it even with shipping, but that was my fault and I now that i know this i was able to fix the shipping. Hell, sending an item to Australia, cost less than sending something ( of less weight) to Texas.

My first ever sale was to Australia

it can be a bit over priced but it is definitely something to do research on. You can go to the us postal serves website and do some searching to get an idea of how much money it would cost to send stuff of different sizes and different weights to different countries

good luck :)

Re: How do I handle international shipping?

go to USPS.com and they have a calculator you can use, that calculates the cost from your location to the country you are shipping to.

Re: How do I handle international shipping?

I've noticed that most of yalls items are not very heavy in weight..would any of you international shippers mind looking at my store & seeing if you think my items would be good for international? They trend to weigh between 2-4lbs & some are fragile...
