How do I get an item to show up in the wedding registry?

I just made a pair of pearl post earrings that I think a bride would love. What I want to know is if I tag this item with
bridal jewelry", "wedding earrings," bridal accessores" etc. , Will it get pulled up in the section for the wedding registry?

Plan on doing that. I just didn't know if you had to buy a spot to get your item in the registry. I really didn't pay attention when they started that because brides are not ususally my target audience.

As far as I understand it, there is no "wedding registry" section. It's like creating a registry anywhere else - you put stuff you want in the registry. If you have bridal-related items, mark them as such. If people want what you sell for their wedding, they'll register for it.

She means the Weddings Category.

I have a purse shop. The bulk of my business in that shop is custom bridal clutches. I WAS showing up quite well in the Category for a while, but then I got bumped way down. I found a reseller selling "vintage" pins in the CLUTCH category yesterday, but none of my properly titled and tagged items.

So, to answer your question, I have no idea. My wedding sales have fallen off the map, and this is usually my busy wedding season. I'm more than a tidge upset with that right now.

You can add the earrings to the Wedding category in the first drop down you see when you're listing them and see if that helps.

If you want to show up in the weddings category, I'd suggest that you set up the occasion as Wedding.

Then be sure to tag the item as what it is and not for what it could be used for.

I've seen numerous items in the wedding category that were vintage and handmade but the common 'thread' was that they were all set up with 'wedding' as the occasion.

I listed the item under wedding earrings and have already gotten a view that way, so at least I know the tagging worked.
