How did Etsy get it's name?

We were wondering that this morning...does anyone know how Etsy started and how it got it's name? :)

Don't know how accurate this is, but I googled it and found that it's from Fellini's 8 1/2, a film.

No one really knows. The Facebook for Dummies authors mentioned that they asked Etsy founders themselves and that they gave them the run around.
