Hello Everyone!
I have a question for the groupHow can you tell if an item of yours has made it to the front page? I noticed I have a HUGE number of shop and item views today and I'm not sure where exactly they are coming from.
One other time, I've had an item make it to fp in a treasury and I only knew because the curator of the treasury messaged me to congratulate me. The treasury was no longer fp when I looked.

Is there some other way to know?

unless someone messages you saying congrats, i don't think there's a way of knowing

You can look on craftcult.com. They keep an archive of front page treasuries. You can also search your shop name to see if you have been featured recently.

it was on the front page about 9 hours ago.

what i did was click on the item that had a bunch of vies and check the most recent treasuries it was featured in. sometimes that is a pretty easy way, if the item isn't in a ton of treasuries.

It will also be in your shop stats under "Etsy Home Page."

Now, you get to use that great "this item made the front page of Etsy" picture in your listing, and add a tag saying "front page". Congrats!!

And use craftcult and craftopolis, they are really great tools!

So if I go my "all-time stats" and click on traffic source "etsy front page", is that an accurate list of what has made it to the front page? Just wondering... if someone clicks on a front page item of mine and then clicks on another item in my shop, that second item wouldn't show up as front page traffic, correct? I've noticed jumps in views and it coincides with front page traffic, but I don't want to add the fun front page picture if it's not correct ;-)

Sarah... if your item was on the front page treasury you would notice a spike of several hundred to several thousand views in an hour span.

Front page traffic can also come from listings that have been newly listed or renewed by you and show at the the bottom of the home page in a small thumbnail sized pic for a few minutes.

Ok, I'm back to this question...
According to my stats this morning and after checking each of my (few) viewed items as of this morning, I saw I had another item that was viewed via Etsy front page. Now, is the fancy graphic "this item made front page!" used when an item makes the handpicked treasury list (not items suggested or newly listed)? That was always my impression, however I don't think this item was in the treasury--perhaps under a "suggested" list. Just wondering...I don't want to be misleading! ;-)

Yes, that graphic should only be used if the item was featured in a treasury on the front page.
