How Late Do You Ship Your "Ready to Ship" Items?

Everything in my handbag and accessories shop is 'ready to ship.'

I know the USPS says Dec 20, but that cuts it close, if you ask me.

When is the last day you are mailing 'ready to ship' items?

The last day to order ready to ship items for me is December 18th.

My last day is December 16th. Unless it goes Priority then maybe a few days more.

I have it posted in my shop announcement that Christmas items should be ordered by Dec. 16th. That gives me a day or two to get them packaged and in the mail. I have a job outside the home so sometimes it takes me a day or two to send things out.

I've stopped accepting custom orders until January. I have a lot to do in my personal life and won't have time to get special orders out by the 16th. I just shipped out a big custom order today and it's my last one of the year.

I stopped guaranteeing international deliveries on December 1st. I'm not willing to take a chance that they won't arrive for Christmas.

The 18th unless the order is going somewhere close by. I am afraid to do anything later even using priority.

This year I am cutting off Christmas shipping on the 18th also. I did have a couple of late orders last year that I would not guarantee delivery on, it was the 21st but both orders were delivered on Christmas Eve!

I'll be mailing each day right until December 23rd and then again on the 27th.

However, I don't guarantee a delivery date for anything unless the package is sent with a guaranteed delivery date.

Packages shipped up until December 20th 'SHOULD reach their destination by Christmas but there's no guarantee.

Mine will be the 18th. While UPSP priority gives an "estimated" delivery date I've had it take longer. Don't want to risk it. Of course, if customers are ok with risking it and state that in the conversation, I will ship any day.

Ditto to what crochetgal said. I've done that for years. I don't guarantee shipping, or even imply that I do, by certain dates. UNLESS guaranteed shipping is purchased.

I'll just keep shipping things out as quickly as possible. My commonly said mantra this time of year is "A lack of planning on your part, does not constitute an emergency on mine."

I'm with crochetgal! I don't guarantee shipping, it's just not something I feel comfortable with. Even Amazon has a hard time getting packages out for the holidays.

I planned to ship everything out by December 17th, but it looks like I can ship most of orders by the 14th. You never know around this time of year especially with the cold weather everyone is having(well... except for FL…) Several items I ordered online was shipped with Priority mail and took about a week to arrive.

I say the 16th, but I'm also with crochetgal in that I don't guarantee it. I just sent a package 2-day priority mail, and it arrived 6 days later. Don't trust the USPS this time of year--they're swamped.

The sign at my local P.O. say Dec. 17th to ensure delivery for Christmas.
