Hi I am new and was just wondering if there is anything I could or should do to pump up holiday sales.

Wow, William...Your shop is beautiful. The best advice I received when starting out was to learn everything I could about tags, titles, descriptions, and great photos (although your photos are already perfect). The Etsy community is extremely helpful in getting your shop in good order. I found it very worthwhile to join teams to learn all you can about being found in searches. It is a lot of work and plenty of trial and error, but worth every hour spent to feel the excitement of that first sale.

Very nice work! There are a few things that you could to do 'spruce up' your shop a bit

1) add a shop title

2) update your announcement so that the first few lines reflect what it is that you sell

3) You may want to reconsider your use of FedEx for international packages. FedEx being a private courier will charge brokerage fees to your customer while USPS includes the cost of brokerage in their prices.

Don't think USPS offers tracking for International I may be wrong will check on it..Where does the "SHOP Title appear I thought it was in my banner and the shop title was my URL.

William - You have a wonderful shop. If you want to plump up holiday sales, sell something holiday-related! You are already selling sets of cards. How about some Christmas cards? Or a beautiful picture that someone hangs during the Thanksgiving or Christmas season?

I have a few items that would fit Christmas ie Monks at Prayer cards or prints but do you set up a section just for those items an reroute them in edit format to that section???

William- USPS has tracking available for international priority and express. first class international has a limited tracking to certain countries.

William, The USPS Does indeed offer tracking for international shipping - the Tracking number is located on the custom form - it is normally at the top and ends with US.
If you want to have Holiday sections you can do that if you want :)

William - Your shop announcement is found under "info and appearance" go to your shop link in the upper right corner and then go to info and appearance.

I made the mistake of sending UPS once to Canada....NEVER again....$35 in brokerage fees alone.

USPS offers international tracking, but only through express mail and it is quite expensive. The tracking number that appears at the top of the custom form will only track in the US, once it leaves the US they will no longer update the tracking unless you use express mail. Express mail will get there fast though, usually in 3 or 4 days.

Fine art paintings and fine art prints are a hard sale on Etsy. Your target customer most likely isn't searching etsy for an art investment/traditional fine art print. Now, of course, there's always the exception for more trendier art like abstract/photography/typography art.

Maybe you can incorporate your lovely art into more functional items like coasters or coffee mugs? I've even seen clocks made out of fine art prints and they are gorgeous. I scoffed at the idea when I first opened my shop, but now I adore making things out of my original art.

@Mallory I have a Zazzle store coffee cups, bags, art prints,art cards and of course your iphone case but not much action and there is a limited number of items for my art .I,m not much into trendy art. As to the prices for other items I would have to buy in bulk to make it worth while. I have been searching for a ceramic tile printer but again the prices for print on demand are high.As to Etsy I'm hoping that over time it will become more of a Tiffany rather than a Target.There are a lot of good artist and crafts people on this site maybe someday Etsy will present more of the unique and less of the common or as you call it the trendier.
