Wow, it’s so exciting to read through these pages and see people starting to match up!

Celeste from CelesteCraft said:
I have a question: Should we be approaching each other about buddying up, or will admins help with that?

Sorry if that wasn’t clear. The next step is up to you. I’d suggest reading through the posts here and reaching out to those members who sound like they may be a good match. Thankfully, you’ve all done a fantastic job describing what you hope to find in a partner, as well as what you can offer, from moral support and motivation to shop critiques and cross promoting.

It’s so exciting to read where everyone is coming from. Seems like we’ve got a great mix of full time and part time sellers working in a wide range of themes. We’ve got stay at home moms, dog lovers, social media mavens, cheerleaders, people just starting out, and experienced sellers eager to share their expertise through the busiest season of the year. I've seen sellers who want to work on all parts of their shops for the holiday season, and people who have very specific goals in mind (teaming up with sellers with a knack for shipping and packaging, for example. What a great idea!).
Thanks for putting yourself out there everyone!

These days there are so many ways to connect, whether you are seeking someone close by for convenience, someone on the other side of the world to offer a fresh perspective. Even if you don’t live in the same place, you can use Convos, email, gchat, Skype, telephone, Facebook, Twitter, blogs, and so on… With more social networking tools at our disposal now than ever, the possibilities for connecting and promoting each others work are endless.

If you are finding it challenging to pair up with a buddy and you have ideas for how we might assist in this process in the future let us know.

As Dr.Cynthia Hill from thirddayluxurysoaps says “come on let's work together and make magic....”

Boot camp is back!

I'm looking for a buddy who would critique my shop (and vice versa), maybe I could link to that shop if it sells stocking stuffers (since I sell Christmas stockings). We could promote each other.

This is my first holiday season on Etsy, so I would love a buddy to help me through it! I have no idea what to expect or what the best way to prepare is, so anyone that has some experience being around for the holiday rush would be greatly appreciated!

Yay! This is the first year I am really going to go all out for the holidays. I, too, would like to buddy up with someone who has some tips and experience for the holiday season - especially experience with packaging/gift wrapping!

This will be my first Christmas season that I have concentrated and worked for! So I would like someone who doesn't mind playing mentor once in a while. Otherwise, someone who would be open to mutual shop critiques, and someone who as an online presence like I do so we can promote each other. Someone who works on their shop daily. Someone who lives in the Tampa/Sarasota area would be incredible-- but I doubt it is possible haha. Mostly just someone who is committed! I'd love a buddy!

Great idea!

I'd like a partner in a similar life situation: work full time with only nights and weekends to prepare. It would be great to be paired with someone who sells something different than I do so I can expand my ideas! It's always interesting to see what nin-crocheters look for.

Ah, awesome!
I would love a partner, but with a full time job, I can never commit to being somewhere at a specific time when it comes to Etsy ¬_¬
One day, I'll be able to quit my day job...

This Is Great!

I also have a full time job and school, so i wont be able to invest as much time as a full time etsian- so a partner (preferably another artist) who also worked would be great!

This is my first year on Etsy. I joined after the holidays last year and I would like someone who is selling something similar to me and has suggestions or can prepare me for what the holiday season brings. I can offer my brainstorming ideas for them.

This will be my second Christmas, but I wasn't really devoted to my shop last year. I'd love a partner to get through this season with.

I would love a buddy! Someone in my area would be nice, although I live in Southern Illinois, so there isn't too much around.

Otherwise, anyone who works in polymer clay, especially polymer clay jewelry and wall art would be fantastic. Also, maybe some one with a blog? I have one and always need an accountability partner to keep it updated.

I don't work outside of my home right now, so I should have plenty of time!

I'm game ;-p This will be my first holiday season on Etsy, though I'm far from being new to online selling & running a business, but I'm also no pro. Ideally, would love someone based in the UK or EU & selling something that would complement mine (& vice versa, obviously).

Re: Holiday Boot Camp Buddy!

This is my first holiday season. Currently I work full-time and am a single mom. I work on my etsy shop at night and on the weekends.

My 14 year old son is going to have spine surgery in November - right at the busiest time.

I asked him if he thought I should close the shop as he will be in the hospital for five days and then about six weeks minimum out of school, but he said he thinks I should keep it open. So, I am going to try unless it gets to be too much.

But, I am nervous as I don't know what to expect. Would be nice to have someone to keep the motivation up. I think I am in for a crazy next few months.

My son's health comes first, of course, but I would like to keep my shop open as long as possible through the holiday season.
