Help with photos please?

Hello!

I decided that this year is THE year for me to try and get my etsy shop off the ground. I was wondering if someone could give me some advice, particularly on my photos? I am not sure which look better, the moss background or the picture ones (I particularly mean the bird broochy ones). If you have any other advice/critique I am all ears! (eyes?)

Your little bird brooches are so adorable! Question - is the card with the tree behind it part of the brooch or just the packaging? I am guessing its part of the packaging, which is also just adorable!! But, because all your photos in some of your listings include that background, a buyer might assume the card with the tree illustration is part of the brooch itself.

I would take some pictures of just the bird and use just one picture of the bird on the packaging card as your last photo only. Because your packaging really is a cute selling point!

The moss is a fun background, but slightly overwhelming. You want your bird to be the focus of the picture and nothing else to compete with it. You also want a neutral background that will allow the colors of the birds to "pop". I would try doing some pictues on a simple paper background - scrapbook paper works great. Maybe something in a neutral beige color with a little texture. Burlap or linen fabric might look really cute too.

I really like the moss background. I think it sets your brooches apart from the rest of etsy. Very unique! Good luck with sales :)

I like the moss backgrounds ...but like Michelle said, the brooches (which are really cute) sort of 'melt' into the background. I would want them to *pop* and stand out. Hope this helps? (I think you should experiment with light, solid backgrounds.)

Your brooches are adorable. I think Michelle gave some excellant advice. I think the moss bacdground overwhelms your product. I love the packaging of the tree but agree that it should be the final selling point picture.

You might want to picture according to the season we are in like for spring using very simple fabric with a spring color or scrapbook paper with a spring color and then continue your theme into summer with some bolder colors, just make sure your brooch is what pops.
