Help!!! Haven't had one buyer since February!!!

Can someone take a look at my shop and give me any tips. I'm thinking I should give up. Haven't had one sale. Have been working on it daily and still nothing. Any advice for me? Much appreciated

Hi
Looked at your shop it looks very nice to me. I am new, been since January this year. I know it takes time to be found. But I favor a lot of people and then they favor me, you need to do the same thing.
Join teams, promote on face book page, twitter, and look at all the shops that are selling what you are for ideas.
Best of luck

I noticed a few things. First glance at thumbnails..I didn't know what I was looking at. I clicked on this one, not knowing what it was until I opened it and read description, as the title was not obvious enough for me:https://www.etsy.com/shop/Kuzebridalboutique?ref=teams_post

Your title could be more descriptive and match your keywords to help with SEO. Maybe "Burlap wedding favor, Wedding Mint To Be Favors, Rustic Wedding Decor"
Or something like that. Then repeat those phrases within your description and tags.

Welcome to Etsy!

Just opening a shop and listing items won't get your shop started.
You want to work on perfecting your shop and on bringing in potential customers (marketing, promoting).
And first you want to read, read, and read some more on the subject of running a successful shop on Etsy.
In short: it takes talent (creative and commercial) and a lot of hard work and dedication.

I apologize for my opinion if it is unpleasant to you. You need to work over quality of photos. In the photo it has to be clear for what these things. A black background and pieces of wall-paper it is bad for a wedding background. Photos have to be solemn and schisty as idea of a wedding. Look as other sellers of wedding accessories take the picture.... sorry....

I would have to agree about the photos. try using angles that showcase the items function as well as take pics during the day in natural lighting. Try to play up the wedding theme in your shop some more too! i hope this helps!

I would suggest to do a little research on successful wedding accessories shops and see what they are doing differently in terms of images, descriptions and titles.

Etsy is a constant work in progress, don't just give up yet!

Hi Susan,

You have really nice products but as Maianna said you need to work on your product photos. Buyers on Etsy have only two things to judge your products- your photos and your descriptions.

Here's a link to a blog on Etsy SEO that you might find useful: http://orangetwig.com/blog/etsy-seo-get-found-in-etsy-search?ref=s

Good Luck and Happy Selling!

How are your views? If you are getting, say, 100 views a day but no sales then look at improving photos and descriptions. If you are getting 5 views a day then work on marketing, tags and titles.

Wedding is a competitive field. What can you make that's different than everyone else?

Also, I am finding this description confusing:
Burlap and lace with flower and rhinestone candy. Gold or silver stone. Beautiful handcrafted mini chocolate variety candy wrappers to use as wedding favor or in your candy bar. Special custom orders. Minimum order of 15. Includes three types of mini chocolate bars, Hershey's milk chocolate, Mr Goodbars, and Krackel candy. Each one is individually handcrafted with beautiful faux rhinestones and gorgeous flowers with burlap and lace They are truly beautiful and one of a kind. You can custom order candies in your colors or go with the silver or gold. Your guests will love these. They are truly stunning. Great for other occasions too such as bridal shower, anniversary, birthdays, baby showers in blue or pink, holiday parties or even a great gift. You can also mix and match or order in your color. Custom made order just for you. Convo me for questions.

Are these candy bars you have wrapped or wraps I have to put on a candy bar? I would recommend this advice...

Re: Help!!! Haven't had one buyer since February!!!

You've only been open for a couple months, I wouldn't give up yet! It took me 3 months to make my first sale and just made my 11th today. I opened in November. It takes time and a lot of work, like the others said above me try to master those pictures. Someone suggested PicMonkey to me and it makes editing my pictures so easy! Its free and online. Good luck!

Have you done any advertising or SEO to bring people to your site? There are thousands of sellers on Etsy...how will they find you? Social media is definitely a must for any business, whether small or large. It helps show people the handicraft behind the business and helps convince them to make a purchase and also helps them find your shop. You can't just make a profile on Etsy and think sales are just going to flood in...you have to work for it! Go out there and be proactive in making sales!

You've only been open since February. Sales just don't automatically come because you opened an Etsy shop. There are tons of shops here, you have to do the leg work to make shoppers find you.

Look through the advice in this thread I started.

Re: Help!!! Haven't had one buyer since February!!!

Hello Susan,
I suggest joining some teams to gather a following. Here are a few which I regularly use:
"Daily Etsy Sales"
"Promotion Locamotion"

They are very much worthwhile. Just be sure to regularly promote your items and do what everyone else is doing there.

Photography
I think your photography is a little blurry. You really want to stick out on the searches, so try rephotographing on white backgrounds with plenty of outside light. When doing white backgrounds, I always sit in front of a window with the light coming in. (a cloudy day is best)
Also, try photographing them on outdoor wooden picnic benches. I photograph my bracelets on a stump in our back yard!
Do an Etsy search and see how other people who sell similar items to you are doing it. (Titles, descriptions, photos, prices, etc.)

Also, try to make your descriptions more streamlined. Customers don't want to trudge through too much info. Make it easy to read. Here is a short example:

A short paragraph to tell the customer what you sell, and a few pointers about the features.

~ This listing is for 10 favors
~ Handmade in USA
~ Gift wrapped

A little blurb about how you love to work with your customers.

Your titles need to be longer and more full of keywords. (just have a look at similar shops)

Hope that helps!

Re: Help!!! Haven't had one buyer since February!!!

It takes time. I first listed some items and didn't work on them, one sale in four months and all got expired. I didn't list anything until maybe last May, and it took another half year for me to gain confidence and felt that "I can do it".

Like many mentioned above, I also think that you need to work on your pictures. I suggest that you use more natural light, and try to shoot from different angles.
