Help! Any suggestions for getting consistent sales?

I've been working super hard on my shop, trying to get up several items a week. I'm on several good treasury teams, as well. But I still find myself struggling to get consistent sales.

Any of you etsians have suggestions?

Re: Help! Any suggestions for getting consistent sales?

I'd work on your titles and tags. "Fall autumn November" is tag stuffing. "Necklace buttons" is mistagging since your red dress is neither of those items. Titling your item "Feather" is creative, but your item is not a feather. Titles and tags are the number one thing for being found in searches and getting views and then sales. What would someone search for if they were looking for a red dress? I'd search "red dress." I wouldn't search "feather."

I suggest you read the articles on titles, tags and SEO in the Etsy Seller Handbook. Your titles look really pretty, but I'm sorry to say that they are not optimized for searches. http://www.etsy.com/blog/en/2011/the-etsy-seller-handbook-all-our-how-tos-about-selling/ scroll down to the section.

Your photos are beautiful and eye-catching and your shop looks well-organized. Just work on search engine optimization. And I think you can actually increase some of your prices!

Hi Amanda, Cute shop! I am in the same boat. Just started up a fb page as well. Feel free to like it and I will be liking yours too ;)
From what I've been told I need to do more outside etsy marketing which I am starting to work on. How are your outside etsy sales?

aman: thank you so much! I will start revising my item title and tags right away! that is very helpful of you to share some experience and knowledge with me!

Heather: just liked your facebook page :) i read that too! I just started using twitter and facebook, so i don't know if it's helping or just a waste of time. I heard it's a great asset to your shop, so i guess it won't hurt!

Amanda, I edit my titles and tags all the time! Just know that you are not alone.

The great thing about your shop is that you already have good photography, which is something a lot of sellers have trouble with!

That's good to know!

Thank you! That means a lot to me! I do a lot of photography outside of etsy, so I had a lot of practice before i started a shop.

Btw, I love your shop! All your items look very well crafted!
