Re: Hello

Hi, Simon, congratulations on launching your shop! Love your work.

Social media works for most of us.

Is this dishwasher safe or does the customer need to wash by hand?

All the best!

Re: Hello

Hi Simon,

Congratulations on your new shop. I have been here a long while and I am still struggling with the same question. In my case, I find that listing new items and re-listing works for me.

I would like to offer a couple of suggestions.

I love the “Mom/Grandma” frame, but I think your picture is too dark. The same goes for the picture of other frames.

I understand that you make the frames to order. However, it would be a good idea to include in your description the measurements of the frame you are showing in the picture (in inches and centimeters). It would also help to describe the materials you used and whether the frames are ready to hang or they are stand-alone.

Then, in this listing:

Regarding the text on the cup, did you mean “won”? or did you intend to use the word “one”?

I think your work is very nice – I fell in love with this mug:

Congratulations again and I wish you the best of luck.

Re: Hello

Simon, you're off to a great start :-) Here's a few things that I think you might try to get traffic. First - many of your items have the exact same title, "Custom Made 11oz Mug's". Vary the titles some! See what gets you more views. Perhaps "Custom tea mugs", or "custom coffee mugs", or "Personalized mugs", just as examples.

And - this is really nitpicky, but some customers are that way too - you've got an Apostrophe in your title, in "Mug's". That's a possessive. The plural would just be "mugs" - no need for the apostrophe (and it's using up precious real estate!)

For some of your items, I'd try filling out all the allotted characters. For google, abbreviated accurate titles may be more useful. For Etsy, many keywords in your title could be better. You'll want to experiment, to see what works best.

On the listings I viewed, you didn't have any description except "will need your image". I'd talk more about your items! How big is the mug (seirously, why not? In inches or cms, or perhaps with one pic showing someone holding it). What's it made of (ceramic or plastic, for example) - and what process do you use? (if you care to talk about it) - sublimation, silk screening, whatever... The more info you give the customer, the more opportunities to help them buy.

Also, you haven't filled out the "Materials" section. On some phones, customers don't even see or notice the Description area. They do see Materials though. You could put "custom images you send to me" as a Material! I'm sure people will have other ideas to offer too.

Er - it's possible you have a few copyrighted images, used just as examples... I'd urge caution about that.

Best of luck with your shop!
