Having a down day.

I'm almost at 2 years here on ETSY. I don't feel like a newbie anymore.

And yet when I search for Rustic Wedding, I'm in page 10. What???!!!

I've used all my tags, tweaked my titles, I have policies and descriptions and I market my butt off.

Why am I lost in the masses???? It wasn't like this before. I was on page 2.

Do you think being in Canada is part of it? This is exhausting. :(

Re: Having a down day.

I am not sure what is going on either. I have not had any sales yet. I believe my designs are good enough to sell but the sales are not there yet. I say we give it more time and somehow figure out a way to learn and make changes.

Re: Having a down day.

I personally don't see what being in canada would have to do with it. Especially seeing how successful you've been here on etsy. Your shop is lovely by the way. Makes me want to have a wedding:)

I have found the team "Friendly SEO" very helpful in this area. The captain on this team is amazing. I'm sure if you joined and put a post on there, she will be more than willing to help:)

Re: Having a down day.

Debbie, congrats on being such a successful shop! I would keep at it, I heard February was a rough month for lots of shops.

Mireya, I took a look at your shop and I have to say, I don't see the purpose and function of most of your items. I also sell graphic goods and you really have to market your items in a different way than other sellers. Using the term Printable or Custom Printable really helps in people understanding what your items actually are. You would really benefit from using real photos of your work instead of the digital renderings. I have found that customers want to see the product in it's final form, even if they are only buying the digital file. Make sure your audience knows HOW to use your products, you can't assume that they already know what to do with them.

Re: Having a down day.

When was the last time you added listings?? You need to keep your shop fresh and relevant in order for SEO to take full effect. Hope this helps!

Love your shop :)

Re: Having a down day.

I'm sorry, I didn't sort your listings properly when I was looking- it could be a bunch of factors. I'm still trying to figure SEO out myself! Although its a constantly changing algorithm. Just keep plugging away, and it will work out :)

Re: Having a down day.

Debbie .-So you don't see the purpose in my items. I added the printable label because others told be I have to label a printable a printable and not art print. What I want is to inspire a positive attitude with a love of sweets. I truly think about how to be a better person and think about how I can serve others and my art I think is a good way to share it. I actually want to print them and sell them as prints. I imagine them on a desk in a frame as part of kitchen decor.

Re: Having a down day.

Are you renewing or adding items daily? This gets you to page 1 or 2 quicker too. I never wait till an item expires. I have a budget I use per month for my Etsy page.

Re: Having a down day.

@Mireya - I wasn't the one that made that comment.

Thanks everyone. I did just relist and BAM views went sky high. So it looks like renewing is much better then search ads.

I DO need to add more items, for sure. Thanks for the kick in the butt.
Thank you for all the comments - I really appreciate it.

Re: Having a down day.

Debbie - I love your shop! i am a newbie to etsy but not to "selling" but I am just learning all the tips to selling on etsy... all the things that i am trying to "fix" in my shop look great in yours, i love your Banner its clear & eye catching, your items are awesome & great prices! & so unique! you have good sales but if your lagging right now could u maybe mix your keywords up a little to get back up to the front pages... change just one of your tag words to Couples Home Decor or Fun Unique Gifts or One of Kind Wedding Gifts something that opens up your target shoppers... I don't think Canada is an issue at all! ...we may be on different sections of this road but we are taking the same journey......so here's to hard work & success! :)

Re: Having a down day.

I do notice when i list new items or renew. I get sales. So I try to make sure that I list a new item or renew an item at least once or twice a day.

Re: Having a down day.

Not sure exactly what the secret is for getting further up on the pages. I hear lots of things... I do hope things pick up for you, though - it sucks being down about your shop. :)

Re: Having a down day.

Hi, Debbie.
I am dealing with the same problem. I have been here more almost a year, and always on the 2, 3 page. But last month or two, with the same titles and tags I fall on the page 8. Have no idea what is going on...
