Have any advice on how to get your shop Noticed

I joined 1-13-11 and have only had one sale. I sell my angels from the front desk at the hotel I work with the owners permission. I sold 50 this year from my job. I will be moving and leaving this job soon and I really want to get some web sales. Once I am away from my job. I will not have many people to sell my crafts to, I am on flickr and it has not helped. My family is not on facebook and I signed up for exposure. I have a blog but I see no use in that .

Your shop is really cute! I especially like the 'flag' angels :) My main suggestion would be to sharpen up your photos, the images are a bit fuzzy and all that lovely detail is lost. Check out all those photos that make it to the Etsy Front Page, they are all sharp and bright.

Personally, I think making a sale in this time is pretty good! Some people dont make their first sale for a lot longer :) and that sale was made with fuzzy photos! I am sure you will make more sales if you can get the images sharper for people to gaze in awe at :)

SuzyJaneB is right - one sale so far is not that bad. I waited (and worked in the meantime) over 3 months for my first sale.

A few things came to mind here:
a) a banner for your shop would be nice.
b) don't settle for a blurry picture - a tabletop tripod can help.
c) have you considered using a model to show off your barrettes? They're very sweet, and having a cute little girl wearing one might grab a potential buyer's attention.

Good luck! You know that your work is good - otherwise people wouldn't have purchased your items at your current place of business. But on Etsy, the buyer only sees your written description & pictures. They're really key to your success here.

I was sick and unable to use the computer for a week and thanks fro the suggestions. My camera really stinks. i need to get a better camera. A cute little girl would be a great idea. One of my co workers has the most adorable little mexican girl and with her beautiful long dark brown hair she would make a perfect model. I think I will ask her if she would allow her to pose for a picture.

you can get really good cameras nowdays for less than 100$. I know its just another expense....but you have to invest in yourself first to make $.
