HP printer troubles......Help!

HELP, the last three labels I've tried to printer from Paypal shipping have been wonky.

Printing way too big and taking three sheets of paper. The bar code alone measures 7 inches across and four inches high, yet the label still doesn't print the USPS black box(on the upper right hand corner) or the postal proof of Insure at Parcel Post.

Yes, I have tried to go into "effects" on my printer and change the layout to read the document at 100% all the way down to 35%............and its still wonky. If you have printed with PP you'll know that it takes up to 15 days to get your refund for labels. UGH!

OH, and the printer works splendidly when printing from "document", word or excel?

I run a Vista system with an older hp 3940? Thinking this is the issue and that I'll have to buy another printer. I'm tired of driving top the post office.

I trick my printer into thinking I'm using smaller paper. I print on normal paper but tell it that I'm using 5x7. The label comes out the perfect size to tape to a small bubble wrap package.

Don't know if that'll help... but it's the only suggestion I have. Sorry.

You just go into "effects" and change the paper size to reflect 5 x 7 and it all prints on the same page....hummmm. I may have to give that a try. Thank you for replying.

whenever i print i make sure the "scale to page size" (or sim button) is always checked. I had issues with my first paypal print (i use an HP also) - it chose to print in the wrong orientation.... so i had to play with that a bit too.

You might change it to print 3 or 4 pages per sheet--this might fix the problem if the other solutions above don't do the trick.
