HELP! Views, favorites, and sales suddenly drop!

March and the beginning of April have been the most successful for my shop. Most of the sales I get are from BNR's (buy and replace treasury game). If I don't participate in BNR's or promote my items in teams, my views and favorites plummet. Out of my 18 sales, I would say about 3 are random sales. The rest are from BNR's. If I don't participate, I don't get sales.

Don't get me wrong, I am extremely grateful for my sales, but I just wish I didn't have to depend on teams and BNR's to get them. I don't have time to sit and promote my items on teams every single day.

If you don't mind, could you please take a look at my shop and give me a critique/advice? Thank you! :-)

you aren't getting sales because you only have 12 items. you probably arn't being seen much outside your team activities. I have heard that the more item you have the better the odds of you being seen on other search engines. I have heard that 10o is the magic number but I am no expert. I have only had 100 items in my shop once lol. best of luck and get cracking getting creative! :)

Have you considered putting your charms onto a simple chain? As a charm you can only charge so much. If you thread your charms onto a chain you can sell them as a necklace, which may allow you to charge triple the cost of the charm. Just a thought.

I can see a few reasons why you aren't getting any sales

1) very few items in the shop

2) your shop title of ""The cutest charms around! "" may be cute but its probably not something that someone would actually search for outside of Etsy.

3) Your shop announcement of "" ♥♥Free gift with orders $15 or more!♥♥
♥♥ Free gift with all BNR purchases!♥♥"" again doesn't tell me anything about what you sell.

4) What are you doing to reach your target market outside of Etsy? I'm obviously not your target customer since I have no idea what a dango charm is. If you are selling a charm that is supposed to represent a specific food (such as your dango food charm) you may also want to include in the title what the food is.

You're not diverse enough in your tags. If you put Polymer Clay Charms down as a tag, someone searching for Polymer Clay Charm (no s) will still find you. You're repeating too many of the words. Broaden your tags a bit and shorten your titles. You don't need to repeat the words that often.

Also, the little hearts may be cute, but they could be throwing the search engines off your site. And yes, you need to advertise off-Etsy. You can't depend on Etsy to bring you your traffic. And BNR's are not the best way to build a client base.

And you do need to add more items - 12 isn't going to cut it.

I started in January and I have had 13 sales. I really want to boost my marketing strategy! Any ideas? I have a FB page and I just created a page on Pinterest.
