Google adwords says I can't advertise with them!

I got a $75 coupon to advertise with Google adwords and I set up the account and I waited and waited for my ad to be approved!
Then I got an Email today for a $100 Coupon if I called in and used their help to set up the account!

The woman told me that since my site is affiliated with Etsy and they don't work with Etsy I couldn't advertise with them!

This is a load of **** and I can't understand why they are sending out coupons if I can't even use them! and as long as I am paying the advertising I should be able to set up an add!

I heard of others Advertising with Google, how did they do it?

Sorry I am currently a little peeved and needed to vent!

I set up adword with a coupon and it worked for me - they didn't tell me I couldn't because I was with Etsy...

I wonder if so many people from Etsy stop using it after the free coupon runs out (that's what I did) and that made them change their policy. ?

I know I did the free coupon to advertise my Etsy and then stopped when the coupon ran out. I didn't find the ads to be helpful at all. I wonder if anyone has had any buys coming from an adwords campaign.

I wondered if maybe they changed their policy!
I decided to put an ad on craftcult for a few days and see it that helps, at least I know they are Etsy friendly!

GrowingUpWild - I did the same thing. I was never sure whether sales came from the ads or not but it seemed out of my budget. I still have it hooked up just not active.

They may have changed their policy KrystalRingKreations. Good luck with craftcult - let us know how that goes!

hmmm, I just used my coupon yesterday. It actually expires tomorrow, so I'm not sure how good it will do. But it definitely didn't say I couldn't use it because I'm on Etsy. As far as I can tell, nothing is coming of it though. I think I'll try Craftcult or Craftopolis, I hear people say good things about them.

Okay just looked at my "ad" account again, and apparently I just wasted the $75 coupon on nothing. There aren't any ads in my account even though I set it up last night and was never told it didn't go through. Now that is frustrating! Maybe it is because I'm with Etsy. Definitely going elsewhere.

That doesn't make sense, why would they need an account with Etsy? What about advertising with Facebook, that has worked for me.
