Go to Your Account (top right) > Options (far left under Shop Settings)
There are 5 tabs going across the top (Options, Vacation Mode, Web Analytics, Download Data, Close Shop).
Click Web Analytics.
Paste your number where it says Web Property ID. Your ID should look like this: UA-12345678-9
When you go into Google Analytics, they give you this long, complicated-looking computer code, but you don't need to add that. Etsy is already set up to work with Google Analytics. You just need the UA-number code to link your specific shop.
Afterwards, it might still say "not tracking," but it took about an hour or two for it to say it was successfully tracking for me. After that, it took about 18-24 hours for it to start actually collecting data. There is a delay, so you have to be patient. It's not absolutely automatic.
