I always had a presence on Google. Whenever I made a sale, I noticed that I ranked higher on Google Search. Now that I have Google ads, (yes I figured it out)
after working hard, oh yes, Pinterest, Twitter, etc. I finally figured out that Etsy has become a pay for play site. I had to get Google shopping ads to have the success I had in the past. It is not expensive. We have to acknowledge that Etsy is a Corporation now. So, an extra $30 a month. That is only $9.33 less that we can spend on groceries. So, get over it, right? I made 5 sales in the 3 weeks since I got Google Ads. Not inexpensive items either! I had to deactivate anything that isn't ready to ship. Too many commissions to finish by Christmas. I call that success!

Oh that's good! Well done.
I paid for 3 weeks of google ads, had just 1 sale through it, which just about covered the cost of the ads. At that point i turned it off.

I am currently using Etsy ads and Facebook/Instagram ads for my sticker shop. In the past I noticed that not a lot of sale generated from the ads I payed for.. not sure why since marketing is a big tool for small businesses.
I gave it another try this week, we shall see how it goes!

Mirry, what is "google shopping"?

Last month and this month I tried promoting through Etsy (in my jewelry shop) and it worked. I was having no luck otherwise - jewelry is so saturated. More than half my sales came from promoting. The trouble is that currently I am having a sale with deep discounts and the profit, after paying for promoting, is not great. But I realize that if not for promoting, I would not have those sales. I will do it again thinking that perhaps that way my jewelry shop will be found and with luck, I will get favorited (word?).
