Goals for November

Do people have specific goals in mind for this month? Mine is to continue to devote regular hours to my shop. I've found that when I devote regular hours each week my views and sales go up and I am better able to track my progress. My other goal is to not eat the leftover Halloween candy. But thats another story : )

How about you?

Re: Goals for November

Yeah, my goals are:

1. To finish posting my products this week.
2. Get organized for the craft fairs that I have for this month and next.
3. Start my photography class.
4. Look into a marketing class.

Re: Goals for November

My goal at the moment is to hurry up and get to the market so I can get the best pick of the half price leftover Halloween candy!
I need my chocolate fix!
No, seriously, I'm feeling a bit overwhelmed...so my 1st goal is to go for a walk this evening and get back in the habit of taking better care of myself so I will have the necessary energy to run my shop well. Then I will vow to list just 1 item a day. It is so much easier to set a lower goal and surpass it, than to set a higher goal and fail. It makes me feel a whole lot better about myself when I am successful at meeting my goals.

Re: Goals for November

Jewel -- I agree with you on setting a low goal! LOL! Even one listing a day is difficult for me and I am a full time crafter here ...

My shop has been doing OK (like I said, setting a low goal!) My revenue has been ten times than last year so far, so no complain (but I do believe that I can make it better).

My November goal is:

- Design some Thanksgiving items (and have them listed)
- Design Xmas items (I know it's a bit late... but I have so many ideas in my head)
- Work on my newly active Instagram (I created an account early this year but it's been sleeping...) and learn more about it

Re: Goals for November

I'm new to Etsy. Joined in late September and had my first sale last week. My goals for November:

1) Spend at least 15 minutes a day learning how to better use Etsy and/or getting involved in teams.

2) Direct people to buy from me on Etsy vs. other platforms and encourage them to use the 20% off code. I'd like to get more shop likes and customer ratings.

3) Add some physical products to the store by December 1st

Re: Goals for November

I've been out of town on a buying trip for 3 weeks, and my shop is full of cobwebs! Time to get busy once again!

I find I do best with only one goal - I'm easily distracted! My goal for November is to increase my listings to 125 items. I've set up a dedicated photography area in the sunniest room of my house and am ready to go!

I'm still trying to get that first sale (lol). That's my #1 goal. To help, I'm working to get to 50 items in the shop this month.

Re: Goals for November

My November Goals:
1. Blog regularly.
2. Add a few custom themes to my shop (I have ideas, just have to get them coded).
3. Sign on 1-2 new clients.

My large goal to meet by February is to replace my teaching salary so I don't have to go back to school next fall (I took a leave of absence this year). I'm trying not to stress and just take it one month at a time. Easier said than done :)

Re: Goals for November

My goals are the same every month. Make more money than the month befreit or the year befreit. Last year November has been pretty good so we'll see how this year goes.

Re: Goals for November

Ooh I love goal posts. :)
My November goals include:

1. Clean out my studio space. It's so full of random stuff I no longer use that it's become difficult to work in there.
2. Get a leg up on the holiday inventory. Every year I get swamped with orders and every year I end up pulling some really long nights to get everything done. Not complaining, by any means. I just know I need to better prepare myself.
3. Start using some new metals in my designs.
4. Get better with social media. I have an instagram and tumblr account, but I pretty much never use them. Yet I'm constantly asked if I'm on one or the other. Time to get on that.
October was insanely busy for me so I think those are going to be it for now.

Re: Goals for November

Its so inspiring to read everyone's goals! Thanks for sharing! I also love the idea that sometimes its good to set goals high and sometimes it can be good to set goals a little lower. I tend to go back and forth.

Re: Goals for November

I wrap my packages so I am assembling shipping boxes, precutting ribbon and making my hand made thank you notes. This is all very time consuming so really helps to have it done ahead of time.

I, too, want to tidy up/organize my studio. It is my least favorite job!

Re: Goals for November

Good luck everyone! Here are mine.

1. Retake pictures of current products (I made myself a light box!)
2. Finally update shop with new products I've had waiting on me
3. Update all social media
4. Fine-tune descriptions and policies
5. Make jewelry cards to package with my pieces

I won't be making new products for a while due to an upcoming move, but I hope the new pieces I have ready will bring me some more orders!

Re: Goals for November

Since I just started listing items last month, I need to get more items added. I'm going to aim to get at least 40 items in my shop by the end of the month.

I also want to create more consistent photos, so a light box is underway. Unfortunately, there is no longer any sun in Seattle... :)

Re: Goals for November

I love the idea of setting goals for the month as it's so easy to get overwhelmed thinking about what needs to be done. I work in HR as my main job and help people to achieve business objectives! I don't seem to be as good at following my own advice !! This thread has reminded me what I should be doing - thank you for the inspiration.

My goals for November are:

1. Finish a custom order and post it off
2. Follow 5 new people on Etsy each day
3. Reach minimum 250 favourites each day through team participation
4. Reach minimum 250 views each day through team participation
5. Explore the possibility of shipping worldwide
6. Book myself on a photography course

Re: Goals for November

My goals for November are to get more listings in my shop. Add a couple of new/never seen items in my shop.
Devote more time to my shop in hopes of getting some sales.

Re: Goals for November

Listings, listings, listings!
I'm sitting on some really beautiful Earrings because I just can't get the pictures right.
Rebranding: I've never really liked my shop name. Now I have some good ideas and I'm working on getting a new logo to look just right.
At this point you may have noticed my perfectionist tendencies impeding my progress. Which brings me to my third goal: to just get over myself!
