Goals and Mini-Goals

Without any goals you end up stagnant. You tend to not get very far. You end up giving up. With unreachable goals much of the same happens. I asked someone what their goal was with their Etsy shop and their reply was: "To make a living selling on Etsy."

Could you be a little more vague? I certainly hope not. Setting goals is like making a trip across the country. You know your starting point and your ending point but everything in between has to be planned out. Know all the points in between to refuel, rest, eat, sleep, etc. Setting goals for making a living on Etsy means setting smaller goals to reach your larger goals. Goals like listing new items 3 times a week, using analytics to see when to list, reworking key words into key word phrases, gaining more social network followers, etc.

I am no expert, but I try to set goals and try to reach them. In my blog post today I talk a little more about goals and how to reach them. If you have the time, stop by and check it out. Leave a comment to show that you stopped by. http://TangledMetal.blogspot.com
