Re: Goal Setting

I LOVE reading people's goals!! It's totally exciting and motivating to me. :) Wow Artista, 200 items.. that's awesome!

1. Make 12 sales
2. Look into starting my own website (already begun but I'm not rushing it because I truly want to figure things out and have money to invest in it)
3. Create some new crochet patterns and WRITE THEM DOWN so I can recreate them and possibly offer them for sale in my shop.
4. Make some hippie boho chic vests.
5. Grow my tumblr following (I've let this one fall by the wayside, but I've heard that many people do super well with it.)
6. List 7 items a week.

Re: Goal Setting

I haven't really set monthly goals before, but I had to think about it as part of the Etsy UlK Mentoring Month I'm involved in, so here goes:

1. Create an inspiring About Page ( I have a really minimal one, no photos at the mo)
2. Get up to 65 listings ( been hovering around 50 for ages)
3. Make 8 sales - already got 1 of them, hooray!
4. Work out a Marketing / Promotion Strategy which is effective but manageable.
5. Purchase a camera and redo the worst of my photos ( have been using my iPad!!)

It will be interesting to see how we have all measured up at he end of July! :)

Re: Goal Setting

How is everyone doing on their goals?
So far for mine:
Original goal: make ten sales
I've made 16 sales, so I surpassed that goal in a surprisingly pleasant way!
Original goal: Complete 4 paintings:
I'm well on my way to completing my second painting for the month
Original goal: Figure out craftori and wanelo:
Haven't had much progress figuring out craftori or wanelo, though I've admittedly not given it much attention
Original goal: Get 175 facebook likes:
I'm only 58 likes into the 175 facebook likes I had as a goal, so it seems unlikely that this goal will be met.

Re: Goal Setting

hm, looking at what i wrote at the beginning of july i can say that
- i already listed 15 items and will make it to 85 tomorrow
- i started with the christmas ornament production and already listed a few things
- old items have new photos as i already relisted a few
- number of views has been higher than usual in the last few days, yesterday was amazing because some of the items that usually get less attention brought in a lot of traffic
not yet accomplished:
- have 1 sale (i will trade with someone today or in the next days, it is all set up)
i guess everything else is a bonus and i can start thinking about my goals for august when i will celebrate my first etsyversary!! :-)

Re: Goal Setting

Thanks for bringing the thread back up!

- Original goal: make a new logo
Progress: i started and actually plan to finish it today

- Original goal: get listings # up to 60
Progress: i think I am at 59 and hope to reach 65 next week.

- Original goal: post on fb once a week or more
Progress: i did 2 posts so far, missed one week...

- Original goal: get to 100+ fb fans
Progress: 94 fans so far, I might run a facebook ad to see if that works

- Original goal: redo tags and titles of at least 10 listings
Progress: 0/10 I just don't like it.. Still plan to do it though, I really need more views so better Seo is important.

Not too bad overall :) i guess I set realistic goals this month that weren't too ambitious.
