Gift Wrapping Option??

I mainly sell crochet infant sets and its been recommended to me that I should offer a gift wrapping option in case people were purchasing to baby gifts, etc.

Does anyone offer gift wrapping on their items? If so could you link your shop so I can view it and ask some questions?

Thank you for your help!!!

Re: Gift Wrapping Option??

Hi Tammy,
I haven't, but I've seen shops that do and they just make a listing for it with pics of gift wrapped items. You would probably list it as free shipping since they are already paying for it with the item they want wrapped.

Re: Gift Wrapping Option??

I don't, because most people want to see and handle the item they've purchased. Also, for international sales you run the risk of it being opened anyway.
For most things (not my de-stash items) I wrap loosely in tissue paper (no tape) and tie with a ribbon. That way my buyers get a pretty thing to open themselves, and can re-use my wrapping if they want.

Re: Gift Wrapping Option??

I put everything in a gift box.

Partially for aesthetics and partially for protection.

Re: Gift Wrapping Option??

I have many people asking for gift wrap. I tried the gift wrap option during the holiday season, and nothing. So, if people ask, I do it as a courtesy (I sell jewelry). I have to say the people who have asked come back again and again to send gifts to people, so it's been well worth it.

Yes, I agree with Heidi - it sets you apart from your competition.

Re: Gift Wrapping Option??

I always do gift wrapping. I put my items in craft envelope and wrap them with a satin ribbon.

I always put my jewelry in a craft paper box with the stamp of my shop on it.

Re: Gift Wrapping Option??

Like others have said, I also put all of my jewelry in gift boxes (tied with red ribbon). It protects the jewelry, adds to the presentation and the matching colors tie into my branding (the jewelry is on a branded card within the box).

Also, I've had a lot of people request gift wrapping (and thank me for it). They must not have known (read listing or seen pics) that I do it for all my jewelry.
