Getting 500 more views but no sales!

I know you never know when you are gonna get a sale but...

i started to add new listings couple weeks ago and i was getting at least 1 sale every day till last week. It made me really happy so i kept adding new items, promoted my shop harder, rearranged my tags and titles etc...

My views were 200 - 250 per day, now i am getting almost 650 - 700 views everyday. Favorites, treasures and conversations are great but i haven't had any sales since then.

Do you think is it just a coincidence or what do you think?

wow. Id like to have that many views and sales! Im lucky to get 20 views per day. On a GREAT day Ill get 80.

The days I have the fewest views and the least favorites seem to be the days I get the most sales. So weird. I really don't think there's any rhyme or reason to it. You just have to reach the RIGHT buyer at the RIGHT time to make a sale.

I had a similar pattern. I had lots of sales when I had very low views (roughly 30 a day). Then no sales when my views hit an all time high (400 a day). Then my views tapered off into a nice consistent range (100-200 a day), and the sales came back. I can't explain it, but here's hoping things smooth out for you too.

Btw, I still find that I have higher ticket sales on days when my views are at the low end of the range. Weird.

I think i should leave my stats alone for a while cause i am going to be crazy to check it :)

that's amazing you're getting so many views. I hope that will eventually lead to the right view, and a sale! :) I don't get discouraged when I have low views... I took a hiatus from etsy for two-three months, and I was still able to get one sale per month (which was pretty awesome considering I wasn't doing ANYTHING with my shop). so again, just keep at it... trying to also spread the word about your shop locally via art markets, coffee shops, etc.

Yes, when I wasnt doing anything I would have got sales but now it stopped!
The funny thing even my $9.90 cutie fish evil eye bracelet made front page on wanelo got more than 500 saved and lots of views and likes but I got nothing :)

I wish I had even half or a quarter of your views. As is I have 50 if I am lucky, but mostly 20. Sales are non existent, but that is nothing new.

Harriet, try to promote your shop harder and harder, add new listings and rearrange your titles and tas. That's what I did and in couple days I got 400 more views! Keep up the good work!

500 views per day??! That's amazing!! Congrats! I get 500 per month if it's a good month :-) I don't think views have a lot to do with sales. I had a sale one week a wasn't doing much in my shop and no sales though I listed new items. Good luck! I hope your views turn into sales!

Wow, that's really great! In terms of views! I never buy jewelry if I see that it's been modeled/worn by a model. It feels like it is no longer new. Just an FYI ... maybe other buyers think this way too.

Views are all about exposure. The more you promote, chat and list items the more views you will get which is very good for getting your shop Favorited etc.

Sales come when items are relevant and what people want. Handemadeit right now I notice you have very cool Halloween jewelry which is relevant and which sellers will check out for inspiration (views)

My advice is to keep going, there are always troughs and peeks.

OMG if i had that many views i would be well chuffed, you look like you are doing very well from what i can see.

Having too many views don't guarantee having any sale. There were a time when I had way too many views and I got really excited waiting for any sale to occur but got none. Just keep advertising and don't constantly change your tags and titles unless you find them not too descriptive.

Wow! That is a lot of views I can get anything between 20 and 100 but this is my new and second shop. I find that there is no logic or correlation between views, favourites and sales, just the right person at right time and consistent listing and promoting. Good luck.

I notice that the sales don't always come in rigth away when I'm getting more views than usual. I think sometimes people may add things to their carts or favourites, then come back later when they have the money or have made a final decision. So as long as you're getting the right sort of views, I expect your sales will pick up.

I have to work very hard to get over 100 views. I was hoping that the more views the better chance of sales but that's not happening.

Wow. I know I just opened my shop a couple days ago but I've had a grand total of 0 views. This is with promoting via Facebook, etc so I'm not sure what to tell you or how to gain views.
