GAH!

I had one baby bootie 3.4 done, and I pulled the freakin' zipper pull right off the zipper.

GAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!

This is the SECOND time trying to make these.

Time to quit. Serves me right for working until 445am.

Re: GAH!

Oh noes! I hate when stuff like that happens. :( A few months ago I was working late into the night AFTER taking sleep meds, then realized there was a giant hole in my work where somehow a stitch wasn't done right and the entire thing came unraveled. >.< Oh well, pull it apart and start over and hope it doesn't happen again!

Re: GAH!

I LOVE your booties!!!! so so so cute (although not cute enough for me to grow one of the things that wears said bootie!)
What does the insole say on the beige & purple set? It looks like it says something, or has something stitched into it, but I can't make it out.

LOL, btdt as far as working late. I have had to rip out more than one thing for stupid mistakes when my brain shuts off before my body. :)

Re: GAH!

I almost fell asleep making a beaded sequin ornament! That wouldn't have been fun to wake up with a sequin pin stuck into my eyeball! :/

One time I made a relatively small order of wedding invites (36) that were REALLY ornate and took forever to make. She picked them up and noticed later that day that one word was missing a letter! We both totally missed it! It was written in a small font, and it was in the middle of the word, so we both skimmed over it. It was one of my first orders, and I had to do them all over at my expense. Now I'm putting a disclaimer that they are responsible for proofreading and final approval of the wording. I, of course, do make sure to spell check, but you never know!

Hope you can resolve your problem and you don't have to re-do work!

Re: GAH!

Nooo!! I hate it when that happens, but I learned in architecture school that it was always best to put the Xacto knife down before 2am, nothing good happens when you're tired! Get some rest and try again tomorrow :)

Re: GAH!

I just realized last night that the design on the pillow I'm making is two stitches off, and it's been that way for at least 15 rows. Woops!

Re: GAH!

My problem this week was a different type, my top of the line embroidery/sewing machine broke down. It is computerized, and something inside is wrong. I took it in Monday, and it may take a couple of weeks to get it fixed. Sure hope it isn't anything major. I ended up buying another machine (just a basic one) to have as a backup. Even though my customers understood the situation, I didn't want them to have to wait that long for their orders. Also, I could lose a lot of orders or time to stock up for Christmas during that time. I'm just glad I was working on only 2 bedding orders at the time instead of 14 like last spring. Gah! and double Gah!
