GA help needed!!!

So, I have sighed up for GA, but right now I cannot use the information it provides because I cannot GET it/ decode to save my life!
For example, people have mentioned that you can see what time is the best traffic to your shop. Where can i find this?
Another mystery to me - referring sites. Some of them make sense, like my blog or facebook, but some are the blogs I read, but they have no mention of me, no ad, not followers, i did not even comment on those site ever - how could they be referring traffic to me?
Any help on how I can learn/ take advantage of this valuable information would be appreciated. Thank you!!!

Re: GA help needed!!!

View Report On left menu go to: Visitors >Visitor Trending >Visits Once you go here, there will be a Clock icon next to the Day/Week/Month icons - click on it to see visits by hours of the day. As for referring sites, if someone visits another site then comes to etsy.com and subsequently visits your shop, the last site they visited will show up as a referring site to you (because Etsy can't be a referring site to itself). Hope this helps! Diana

Oh yeah, here's an Etsy article: http://www.etsy.com/storque/seller-handbook/etsy-success-web-analytics-tips-9200/ It suggests you check out this ten-minute intro to GA video, if you haven't already http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_qfG2d9etvk

As far as referring sites being blogs YOU visit - have you excluded your URL from your tracking results? If not, your visits to your own shop will be counted in GA
