Front Page?

Hi :),
I am still quite new to Etsy so hoping someone will be able to explain to me how this works. The treasury list that my item is featured in has made it to front page :)!!! (U.K only I think) which I am really thrilled about but my item is not on the front page. There are 12 items on front page and 16 items in the treasury. Does this mean later today it will swap around or have I just very narrowly missed out on being on the front page ? :(

Heya!

Your item must be in the "reserve" line - it's part of the front page treasury but the bottom row of items is not actually featured on the page until something above them sells out. when that happens, they move up, one by one :)

Last week I was in a FP treasury's reserve line and somethine sold around 10am, I was the first to move up, and got loads of views/sales from it. So hopefully that will happen to you too :)

It's a pretty cool system because it means there's an appropriate item ready to fill the gap if something sells - but if you're in the reserve line it can be a bit frustrating if you never move up - so near yet so far! I've been lucky, touch wood.

Thats so annoying! The items are quite high priced so I guess I won't be moving up into the treasury! So near but so far .....

I thought they someone on Etsy's end rearranged the treasury. I noticed one time when I clicked to look at the entire thing that the items were arranged differently on the front page than in the original treasury. So I thought they mixed it up so that everyone got an equal opportunity to be noticed on the front page.

Makes sense, but I agree, how annoying to be so close yet so far! Next time I see myself featured on the bottom line of the treasury I think I'll cry! ;) Not really. ;)

I have only been on the front page once in 3 years, but that day was amazing! I got something like 300 views and lots and lots of hearts on my item in a very short time, and several sales in the next several weeks.

Well one of the items on the treasury sold meaning another item got featured but still not me!!! If another item sells it will be me on the front page so I am crossing my fingers but it looks unlikely! I thought views still might be up from being featured in the treasury but they haven't really gone up. Hopefully it won't be too long before I am featured in another fp treasury :)

Good luck TheDorothyDays! I hope you get on the front page! I am still curious as to how your item gets put on the front page. So it's treasuries that are shown on the front page and if your item happens to be part of that treasury than you have a good chance of appearing? Or do they create a treasury based on their search and then perhaps your item may be featured on the front page?
