Fresh & New :)

How do you all keep your shop "fresh & new" ... other than adding new items. Is there anything else you do...like change your announcement OR add something different to your banner or are those 'constants'?? ALSO, what keeps your customers coming back again & again? I'd really love to know!! :)

Re: Fresh & New :)

One easy thing is to rearrange your shop regularly. Just changing the order of the items gives people the feeling that something's new. That actually also works in my brick & mortar shop, where there is a lot of things to look at and people can't see everything the first time. If I move things around, people keep telling me "Oh, you've made new designs".... when they are 3 years old.

Re: Fresh & New :)

I rearrange my shop almost everyday.
Another trick is that I have pictures with white and with black backgrounds for many of my items and I change the main photo from time to time.

Re: Fresh & New :)

Ditto to the above. I change the main picture a number of times as well for items to get them a "different" look.

Re: Fresh & New :)

How do you rearrange the items in the shop? Is that just switching the featured ones?

Fresh and new for the New Year.....just finished moving all my ecovintagevegan shop inventory to my first born etsy crudeco shop. A fresh New Year with all my work in one shop. It will be a challenge, but one I am ready for.

Peace,
Mickey

Re: Fresh & New :)

I'll add promotions to my shop announcement and offer coupons to customers to encourage them to return.
I rearrange my shop regularly so it doesn't look the same all the time.

Kelli:

You need to go to "your public shop" and then on the lower left-hand side (at the bottom)...you'll see the option "rearrange your shop". Don't forget to "save" when you are done.

Helen:

I ALWAYS offer a coupon code to customers in the hope that they'll return...but so far, no one has taken me up on it!! I get great feedback...so I'm kind of bummed that it hasn't happened (yet). But thanks for the reply. I'll just keep on doing it!!

Re: Fresh & New :)

FreshFromtheFlame,
On the left hand side way at the bottom you'll see "Your Shop". See it? Right under that is the "Rearrange Your Shop" link. Click it, then just drag and drop. Make sure you save your rearrangements.

Re: Fresh & New :)

I started rearranging my shop recently and I think it is fun. It gives me a chance to see what I have, what I need to do and often an idea of what items I need new photos of. I constantly tinker. Since I really only started my shop in August, I've been learning as I go - figuring out how to take better photos - what sells - what doesn't - things like that.

I also work on tags, new descriptions. I started rewriting osm eof the to reflect holidays so when the season is over I go back and rewrite them.

Re: Fresh & New :)

I like to update my banner and avi on a regular basis. I also like to rotate and/or update my photos to keep my listings fresh, besides adding new items.

Re: Fresh & New :)

I try to change the pictures with each set of tools that I build. It helps break it up and give a different feel to the shop.

Re: Fresh & New :)

Thank you Organicpinklady. I had no idea you could rearrange! Every time I have listed new items I always planned how to list them so they showed in my shop how I wanted. Great help, and your shop is super sweet. I just played around with moving things! And thank you to AnneLondezGlass for the suggestion to rearrange the shop, and by the way your work is beautiful!
