Feedback?

I have sold a few items and I haven't received any feedback for most of it. How should I ask for feedback? Is that considered taboo or rude? I wouldn't want to offend anyone.

Unfortunately, most buyers don't leave feedback. However, I include the following message in the "note to buyer" to try to encourage buyers to leave feedback:

"Thank you for your order! I will let you know you as soon as your package has been shipped out. Each and every single customer is important to me, and I'd love to know of your package's safe arrival, and that you are happy with your purchase. Therefore, please feel free to leave feedback, and stay in touch, as I love hearing from customers!"

And that's it. I don't normally like to pester customers for feedback, so I just leave it at that, and I'd never directly ask a customer for feedback...I'd be afraid they'd feel annoyed. But I wouldn't worry about not receiving feedback yet, as when a customer doesn't leave feedback, that usually means they're happy with their purchase. :]

I send an email thanking them for their purchase, give any sale information that will be coming up and remind them kindly to leave feedback. I only do it once and I forget it. If the not gonna leave it, not much you can do. It's pretty hectic time right now, so they may come back and do it after the holidays. Good Luck and Happy Holidays!

I had a repeat customer whom I politely asked to leave feedback if he wished to do so. He did, and raved about my necklaces and bracelets!
I ouldn't contact any buyers after the fact though. Maybe mention it in a nice, thankyou note in the package? Most people are unaware of feedback, unfortunately.

To my store, about 1/3 customers will leave feedbacks.
