Would love to know how to increase feedback. The feedback I have received is always positive. I always add alittle note "to please leave feedback" A few times customers have asked "where is it?" any ideas on how to get feedback for every sale?

I agree, leaving feedback for purchases is TOUGH! I think etsy needs to make it easier to do...also, this is a tip for sellers...if someone buys something from you PLEASE leave the buyer feedback! I have bought about 10 things on etsy and only 6 people left me feedback, even after I left them positive feedback, just crickets!

I consider myself lucky to get about 50% of customers leaving feedback.

That is pretty bad littleprettiesbycara...I have also sold a lot on another website that happens to also begin with an e and end with a y....I think I got about 60-70% feedback from buyers. In etsy, when I first bought, took me a while to figure out how to leave feedback! Like I said, perhaps etsy needs to make leaving feedback more user friendly...

it's up to the buyer/seller to leave feedback and we're not supposed to ask, but what I have done for the past 3 years, (not always) is send a note with the products that I've had across etsy that are breakableand say something to the effect - if your purchase needs my attention prior to leaving feedback, please let me know.

Those are the FBS I have found to be the most positive results
Leaving a note can't hurt in that sense

Whenever I buy from someone I leave feedback (even if it is a week or two after I have recieved the item). I think it has become burnt into my brain from when i used to sell on eBay and feedback was critical.

I'm noticing that I'm not recieving any feedback as a buyer. I'm wondering since the focus has been moved away from feedback that sellers are leaving less feedback for buyers?

I think on etsy there was a situation because of the 'visibility' of what you bought in someone else's feedback, making it where there wasn't a big desire to leave feedback from a buyer's standpoint. Not many are aware that the system has changed so that their names are only visible in a seller's feedback to that seller (the average person can't see it).

It's going to be an education battle for a while for most sellers :)

But I do agree that possibly having it more "user friendly" as bakerinva says may be a solution.
