Feedback. Do you read it?

who reads feedback left for customers and by customers.?
I have spent almost an hour on one particular stores feedback and was really taken back by the SHOP OWNERS comments left.
Then i thought do people really read this feedback?

Like AdamRabbit, I will if I'm thinking about buying something and I'll take out the time to find and read any negative feedback if it's present so I can better understand why they received it.

I read it if I'm thinking about purchasing something and sometimes just because I'm curious, or wary of a seller whose items I'm thinking of favoriting. I'm nosy that way.

IF I am going to purchase from another etsy seller, and they have even ONE negative or neutral I then read all their fb.

IF the shop has consecutive "positives" and no compliments, I don't buy from them either. Sometimes, if I received my item, yet it took too long for me to receive it, or it was wrapped and packaged in cigarette smoke filled aroma, or it was a little off from the description.................I click "positive" but I don't leave any encouraging words for the seller. And I don't return as a buyer.

I think feedback from my buyers is really valuable. I always really appreciate when someone takes the time to leave it as it not only helps me improve my shop but also pursuade others that my customer service is good.I also like to leave feedback for others and read other shops feedback if I am going to buy

As a shop owner I love getting feedback so that future potential buyers can read what other folks' experiences have been. (Good feedback also validates me as an artist and seller :P ) While I haven't received any negative feedback, if I ever do, I'd use it to improve my shop.

As a buyer I love reading through the feedback to see what I can expect from the seller.

All in all I find it to be a very useful tool!

I'll read feedback if I'm planning on making a purchase. But I don't let a couple of negatives amongst a sea of positives deter me simply because you can't please everyone all of the time.

I always read feedback. I learned that from buying on the other "E" site years ago. I also read feedback left by the seller because that, too, can indicate what kind of experience I can expect. I've seen some downright nasty feedback left for buyers by sellers who, based on their own feedback, appear to be nice to work with. :O

when i am looking to buy something from someone, I always read their feedback. when its feedback that I have gotten, I always like to read it, to know that my customers are happy.

And I have purchased from two or three seller's with a neutral or two.....just because I wanted what they sold, or needed it quickly.

At this point we're lucky customer's leave any reply to fb at all.

This is an interesting topic. First off, I do read feedback from other buyers when I am making a purchase, and more closely, if they have a rating other than 100%. However, a few weeks ago I found this really popular Etsy seller, and her items were very high priced for what they were and still selling like hotcakes, in the shops policies and other places were the seller stressing how negative feedback is not an option to leave... and whatnot. I mean it was stressed a LOT. Then, I got to reading the feeback she left to others, and WOW 99% of it was NEGATIVE, and really long drawn out snide remarks to the sellers who were unhappy.

I couldn't believe it, and assumed no one else ever bothered to look at the feedback she had left for others after all of talking and warning she did about not leaving her anything less than perfect feedback. I was disgusted and just laughed about how terrible of a person this person led herself to be through that feedback. too funny.

I LOVE getting positive feedback by customers! It seriously makes my day, so I of course, as a seller, always take the time to read feedback left for me by customers.

As a buyer, if I'm making a purchase (especially a big purchase) I like to read what other people have left for the seller regarding an item similar to what I'm interested in buying. I have at times decided not to make a purchase due to not-so-great feedback left on other shops. But if everything looks good feedback-wise, it makes me want to confirm my purchase. :]

Yep I read feedback, it's one of the first things I do before I buy something.

It's important to me to get good feedback and to leave it promptly after I receive a purchase. I read feedback when purchasing from a seller too.

I don't think I've bought from any etsy seller with negative fb. It's not intentional, just how it happened. I don't generally read fb if the person is at 100% but I should because that be because of purchases rather than sales. I always check fb on other sites if below 100% but if someone's got 20,000 ratings and 500 are negative I'm not too worried unless the bulk are recent. Yet I've been stung elsewhere by high rated sellers too. Its a crap shoot no matter where you buy something anyway, in store or online.

As a seller, I give 200% on etsy. This means super friendly convos and a product which is sent as promised. The reason I often spend more on purchases on etsy is to get that extra special touch from the seller. I like to read feedback because I don't want to be disappointed. I've never left negative feedback, but like others if I'm not impressed I'll just leave a positive with no comment.
