Failure to Show

Hi team! I have noticed that my sales have dramatically dropped this month compared to the previous months which is really upsetting considering Christmas is around the corner. I have decided to dig a little and look at my tags, titles, product descriptions; however, everything (in my opinion) looks fine!

I would really like to show up when searching for "Personalized Stationery", or "Custom Stationery" as that is a high volume search term - I typically show up on the first page but recently that has changed... has something changed on Etsy that I am unaware of?

I have already tried the basics - renewing each day, posting to pinterest, twitter, Facebook, etc.

Any advice? Any help is much appreciated - I NEED for Christmas sales to go way up!

I am not sure if anything has changed. In my personal experience it varies, sometimes I show up on the first page, sometimes much farther in. I have had a little more luck lately in sales, though for me, more than one a month is a good month (because its better than none!) but I try to post in my team forums and simply searching and favoriting items and shops seems to always attract more views which sometimes lead to sales. I don't know if this helped you at all, I just wanted to chime in and try.

Thanks for your response! Okay, so maybe it just varies? It is just somewhat of a downer because I am used to getting at least 2-3 sales a day and now I maybe get 2-3 a week - HUGE difference in $ value! :/

Do you think that prices are too high? Or that tags need to be improved?

I am getting very few views and no sales. I think it is people getting ready for Thanksgiving and knowing that Black Friday and Cyber Monday are just around the corner.

yeah, I dont really know what to say, I am having the same problem. Some days I get decent views but barely any hearts. Havent even sold any of my new items with better photgraphy - its extremely odd. Some of my most popular items still havent sold. Then there are other days where I only get 70 views - but 40 favorites on those days. I comb through my tags, titles, etc. I search for my tags and barely ever see my stuff come up - yet I still see the same other sellers over and over again and we have the same tags! very weird/annoying. whatever ill just wait and see what happens. thank goodness I have my "real" job to pay for my upcoming wedding! haha because etsy isnt seeming promising lately

Wedding season slows down for me in September/October. Sales usually pick back up for the holiday season, but there's definitely a slowdown with wedding related items.

Maybe including "set of 12" in the title or further up in the description. I thought the price was only for one card. Maybe show some with only two initials, I have no idea what my friends' middle names are. That might not help bring in the views but might help slightly with sales.
I think the suggestion that people are waiting for Black Friday is probably right.

Personalized stationery is going to be very difficult to remain on the front pages for. Since personalized stationery is too long for one tag, every one who has that phrase in their title and in single word tags is in competition for the front pages so your chances are slim.

Custom stationery is a better search to try to optimize your tags and titles for. But in order to do that "custom stationery" has to appear exactly in your titles and in one tag. In the first two pages of your shop, i did not see any listings that had "custom stationery" in them. Pick a few listings and revise them to have custom stationery in both title and tags and see how they perform after a couple of weeks.
